I came across a pretty good Atari 2600 game yesterday -
M.A.D. by US Games
For a fixed gun game it's really fun. Presentation is almost like Atlantis and Missile Command together.

I think I have spent more time playing the coin rush levels than I did 100%'ing the actual game. It's a crime that they stopped producing levels for the mode, it's probably the best thing to happen to a Mario game, ever.Damm64 wrote:Uhm... despite finding the game ok i keep coming back to play coin rush in NSMB2... it's kind of addicting.

So I snagged one of those smaller pocket-sized Link Between Worlds strategy guides at Target because it was cheap.
It's a great guide. The only problem is that, like a paperback book, you can't lay it flat and open. So it's hard to play the game while regularly consulting the guide. Wish I had thought of that before buying.

Re: Random Gaming Thoughts
Had an epiphany at work today. Building a video pinball table is my plan this winter but I keep coming up with issues with my designs. At the end of it all, they are just too large. So I thought, why not build it more like an arcade cabinet - something I know how to do. The bit of time whiteboarding different concepts finally got me one that could work.
In essence it will be a main tower, that is about 4ft tall with the backglass, dmd, speakers, and pc all mounted in it and recessed alittle more than normal. The playing field will be a 27 or 32 inch monitor that folds down from that tower - that is just the monitor and the buttons/plunger. That way, it is small enough it is not the main focus of the room, but it is big enough to give the real pinball feel. And if push comes to shove, I can store it in the closest.
The other upside is that it would give me more money to build multiple vigolixs.

Welllll that's gonna skew those price averages quite a bit eh? I like to use it for a quick reference, I hope it doesn't ruin it real bad.Ack wrote:So VGPC is apparently now tracking the prices of reproduction carts?
