^ also, Probotector is the PAL version of Contra..
Pretty sweet haul there, DementedCollector! That's a great starter set for anybody new to the NES or beginning a nostalgic trek down memory lane!

Re: Video Game "Finds of the Day"
I've seen those exact same pictures before for the SMS and Turbo Duo lots they have. Not sure if it was another auction, or someone's 'collection' pictures, but I know it was months ago. I think it was ebay, which means they keep failing to sell it.retrosportsgamer wrote:Thanks - and for those still looking, check out this lot!![]()
Someone already explained the NES cart. Shadow of the Ninja by Natsume for NES is the game similar to Ninja Gaiden. A GB version was being made, but Tecmo bought it and released it as Ninja Gaiden Shadow.noiseredux wrote:SwooshBear wrote: Forgive me if I'm screwing up my history, but isn't Shadow Warriors the Ninja Gaiden ripoff that ulimately became the Ninja Gaiden GB game?

That's because UK authorities at the time censored the word "Ninja" because it "glorified assasins".Hateshinai wrote:Shadow Warriors IS Ninja Gaiden. The name was changed for release in the PAL territories. It's the same game. Weirdly enough the name was changed only for the NES version AFAIK.

Re: Video Game "Finds of the Day"
local Goodwill store....
Each game was $1.50, so I couldn't pass these up. Better yet, all the PS1 games are complete with no scratches on the discs. It appears they were opened and used once or twice and then stored somewhere. Spyro: Ripto's Rage also came with a loose copy of the original Spyro. Not a bad haul in my opinion.
Baldurs Gate for PC was also $1.50
