Re: Video Game "Finds of the Day"
I still need to pick up Biometal. One of the few shooters I am missing for the SNES.

In box for $5? Nice!Czernobog wrote:Picked up Dungeon Explorer for Turbografx-16 CIB for a fiver earlier today. Enjoying it quite a lot so far.
Let strength be granted, so the world might be mended...so the world might be mended.
Re: Video Game "Finds of the Day"
I picked up a NES Action Set with box, manuals, posters, etc. for Five bucks today at a garage sale. It's only missing the light gun and the SMB/Duck hunt cart (both of which I already own).
I popped open the unit and inside was Karate Champ, which may be the worst game of all time for the NES.
Everything works great.
I then found a copy of FF7 CIB black label at a local used bookstore for five bucks. Talk about a good day!
I'll be keeping the NES, and hopefully flipping FF7 on ebay, since I own two copies already lol.

Finallly got a Master System. Paid $26 for a set (only $6 shipping - ok, then)
I've got a guy i've bought from before that has BINS full of complete master system games. Notably - no Phantasy Star or anything but I'm sure for a buck or two a game I can grab whatever I'd like.
Only one controller but that's okay for now!

sweet! The SMS is so great. In a strange way, I might like it more than Genesis.retrosportsgamer wrote:Finallly got a Master System. Paid $26 for a set (only $6 shipping - ok, then)

!YARD SALES!

PlayStation games - $1.00 each
Oddworld: Abe's Oddysee - Great game, black label to replace my Greatest Hits version.
A Collection of Activision Classic Games for the Atari 2600 - Thanks, Atari, for the verbosely descriptive title.
Tomb Raider Chronicles (no manual)
Eternal Eyes (no manual) - I usually will avoid incomplete PS1 games, but I was interested enough in playing these for $1.
Sega Genesis Plug 'n Play - $0.25
- This is actually pretty crappy, and I don't know what I should do with it.

N64 GameShark Pro Ver. 3.3 - $2.00
SNES games - $5.00 each
The kid selling these had a few more, but I already had them and his firm $5 each was a bit much to pay for trading copies.
Final Fantasy II
Final Fantasy III - Nicely decorated with splotches of ketchup.
Mortal Kombat 3
Prince of Persia

Re: Video Game "Finds of the Day"
PLEASE take a seat guys.
You may just need it.
Following on from a previous thread where my LOVELY brother was given a load of retro goodness from a work mate, for FREE, here is my story.
My BEUTIFUL sibling was due to visit me today at 18.00.
The tension had been building, for at least a week, since he informed me his friend had come good.
From the moment I awoke the only thing I could think about was what food my brother would bring me to quell the retro hunger pangs I had.
I paced up and down most of the afternoon in anticipation, the curtains twitched as if there was a force 9 gale.
18.00 arrived and went
, the tension reached fever pitch.
18.25 my brother rolls up, I put on a false face and seem uninterested, as he was late, whilst trying to contain my exitement.
My good brother brings in a fairly large crate and I loose the pretence.
I stare at the crate only able to see the top layer of retro goodness.
My brother goes into the garden to socialise with the rest of the family, I single handedly haul the heavy crate up my near vertical loft ladder into my lair like a spider with a fresh kill.
The crate as recieved..

Having quickly and thoroughly scanned the top layer I eagerly dug deeper to fing..

The bottom of the crate was where the GOLD was lurking..

It was a good day.
All items are yet to be tested/cleaned.
Will be done when I come down off cloud nine.
You gotta love brothers, don't ya

Very nice, loving some of those NES games. Did you have the systems before or are these new entries into your collection?
