I see you're giant dick bag resorting to Ad Hominem. I am stating facts and consensus. Only people that are being fanboys are the people kissing Hyperkin's ass.
No, not really ad hominem. I am not even a big fan of the retron 5 as my previous posts state, but I can see how it would be perfect for some. But the vitriol and the way you post and then turn it into the SRT vs R5 is basically the definition of being fanboyish. So keep it coming.

Don't think I have ever seen a "Hyperkin fanboy" here or anywhere.
This thing has gotten tons of negative press. And those of us who aren't slamming it could be considered cautiously optimistic at best.

You're disappointed with your purchase and that sucks. Just return it and move on with your life. No reason to take it out on people who are perfectly happy with their investment.
Personally I'll wait to see if Hyperkin addresses a few of the issues I have with it. If they do, great. If they don't then they just won't be selling a unit to me.
I was afraid that everyone impatiently screaming for a release would lead them to putting out a product before it was ready and it has. However a lot of reviews still find the system pretty interesting when it works so I wouldn't say that total hate of the thing is the consensus.
So is the save data transfer issue a common problem? That is a huge pitfall if you can't load your save data from carts, and it could potentially erase your data.

I really loathe this mentality that exists amongst so many. Not liking something is not a good enough reason to return it. Where do you think those costs go...usually to the people who buy it at the now inflated price and don't return it.
The only reason to return an opened item is if it's not as advertised or as described - not because you didn't like it. I don't want The Rev's or anyone elses gently used item resold as new.

You're taking me too literally. In the case of the Retron 5 there are functions that don't work as advertised. I think returning it due to lack of satisfaction is totally justified.
- Greatly improved manipulation of Gameboy/Gameboy Color cartridge saves - Added support for SNES S-DD1 carts (Star Ocean) - Added support for Sega Genesis cartridge mappers (fixes Super Street Fighter II) - Fixed SNES "Super 4 in 1 Multicart" soft reset problem - Tweaked the overscan operation - Compatibility fixes (Super Metroid, Phantasy Star IV, Beyond Oasis)
This may make things a little better.

It looks like it's going to get here a little faster than originally planned -- I'll be getting it tomorrow! I will put the latest 1.2 firmware in and try a few cartridges that are already cleaned and ready to go. I don't have any Famicom/SFC/Genesis games right now, but hopefully that will change in the near future.
