For anyone who read the Death of the Family and was surprised or disappointed by the ending, check out this article: http://www.ign.com/articles/2013/02/15/ ... than-death
From the article:
Leaving the family dwindling on a thread and cutting off the trust that’s always been there is a direction that will have repercussions across many different books and hopefully force Batman to re-examine how he treats his allies and their place in his mission. In that way, it also builds Joker as an even greater threat, should he return. The Joker’s always been smart, but his obsession with Batman has always blinded him in a way.

With Death of the Family, Joker actually resists the urge to kill or mutilate the Bat-family. He's done both in the past, and where did that get him? This time around, he instead plays a game of chess with the Dark Knight, using the family as pawns and thinking many steps ahead of Batman. The Joker is incomparably dangerous when he’s chaotic and anarchic, but what happens when he’s particular, careful, and deliberate? Death of the Family is what happens; a fate worse than literal death. Knowing that you’ve won the physical battle but lost the larger war? And knowing that really, it’s your own fault? I can’t imagine Batman hating anything more.

I need to get on that. I still haven't finished Death of the Family yet. Court of Owls didn't exactly end the way people expected, so I wonder how they ended this one

Jason Momoa in Talks to Play Drax in Guardians of the Galaxy?

After securing Parks & Recreation actor Chris Pratt earlier this month Star-Lord, Marvel may be on its way to recruiting another cast member for director James Gunn’s Guardians of the Galaxy.

According to Latino Review, which has had a pretty good track record on Marvel scoops, the studio is in negotiations for Conan the Barbarian star Jason Mamoa to play Drax the Destroyer. It was reported last month that “Old Spice guy” Isaiah Mustafa, Generation Kill actor Brian Patrick Wade and former professional wrestler Dave Batista were also testing for the role.

In Marvel comics, Arthur Douglas and his human family were killed by Thanos. Needing a champion capable of defeating the Mad Titan, the cosmic entity Kronos rescued Douglas’ spirit and placed it into the body of Drax the Destroyer, a being with superhuman strength and durability, and the ability to create blasts of cosmic energy.

The 6-foot-4 Momoa, who also appeared on HBO’s Game of Thrones, can now be seen opposite Sylvester Stallone in Bullet to the Head.

Guardians of the Galaxy opens Aug. 1, 2014.

Just finished it now. Wow! Brilliant story and conclusion, great art too. Scott Snyder is a genius, and The Joker is, and always will be the greatest Batman villain.

I'm not the biggest IGN fan, but that was a good article

1. He's Ra's Al Ghul's grandson. By this time next year he'll be alive and kicking and vowing revenge on Batman's life.

2. Even if the doesn't go into the Lazurus Pit, who cares? What is he, like Robin #5. He's far from an essential character, IMO.
