Played a whole bunch of Hearts of Iron 4's Kaiserreich mod over the weekend. It REALLY does a good job of balancing out the whole game and making it just generally more interesting to play every area on the map. There's just no way to know how a game will go between the various factions, and that's something the base game really lacks. The alt-history "what if Germany won WWI" adds a last element of spice that just makes it a joy to play. After 120 or so hours and nearly giving up on it near the beginning, I think I've finally really gotten a hang on how to play HOI4
Got a bit sick of HOI4 yesterday though

. So I finally started up La-Mulana 2, which has been AWESOME so far <3 . It's really a lot more of the "same," tbh, but it's all new maps, bosses, puzzles, and enemies, despite the weapons and items being fairly similar. It's really all I could've asked for in a La-Mulana sequel, and playing through on hard mode has been both super fun and at times very frustrating, but I'm still having a blast

It's really made me want to try and track down an old MSX and some games when I go to Japan. Try and play some of the inspirations for La-Mulana like Galius Maze or Castlevania
