Random Gaming Thoughts
Re: Random Gaming Thoughts
Man I wish companies would cut large game updates into manageable chunks. Been playing War Thunder a lot recently and they basically released what amounts to an expansion pack today. In total it was almost a 7gb update and their servers are swamped max download speed I have seen is 0.5mb/s. In total the update is going to take around 5-6 hours according to their timer. I love all the new content, but it's going to take all day to download this. Plus the servers are going to be empty for a day or two while everyone gets updated

Their games also had a tendency to feature many blank screens between certain parts of their games, it's almost like loading time on a cartridge. Super Pitfall comes to mind.
Yes. The best way to see if you passed a checkpoint yet is to look at your timer, you always get more time when you get past one. Same on the NES.BoneSnapDeez wrote:The arcade version of GnG uses checkpoints like the NES port, right? I'm sure I have it one of these Capcom compilations.
Not to mention those enemies I had mentioned on stage 2-2 just hang out right over the ladders so you really can't go anywhere.Erik_Twice wrote:It seems like the AI wasn't given much of a thought in the port and is much simpler so perhaps that's why you find it more aggressive, it's too dumb to do anything else.
Now Super Ghouls N Ghosts on the other hand, I can play and clear that all day long, whenever I want.

I'm not sure if I want to play the first inFAMOUS. Numero dos sounds a bunch better to me, and the bits of the first I've played so far have been repetitive as shit. There's supposed to be a pretty good rundown of the first game in it...

It really sucks that neither the Spyro nor the Crash Bandicoot games are available on the Vita.RyaNtheSlayA wrote:I think I've said this before but every once in a while I get the compulsion to collect a bunch of physical games again. I was looking at a bunch of PS1 and PSP discs today for instance. Luckily I've gotten pretty good at handcuffing myself to the bed frame when this happens so I don't do something stupid.![]()
"But I need to buy Ape Escape"
No you don't brain. Shut up and sit down.
That said. It'd be really nice if the Vita PSOne and PSP Classics shops had a better selection. Especially since a lot of the games I want to buy are available on PS3 or PSP systems.

I think you also had to bait them off the laders in the original game.ExedExes wrote:Not to mention those enemies I had mentioned on stage 2-2 just hang out right over the ladders so you really can't go anywhere.

Re: Random Gaming Thoughts
Even I have it, but that's not "official" on there because it was a loophole where they "accidentally" put it on the store to download. Still stupid that they're never going to be on there....probably all the more reason to keep a psp around or even the originals...dsheinem wrote:I played the first Spyro on my Vita earlier this year

Nice set. Could also be called "ADK The Best of Engrish", but you'd need Magician Lord, Blue's Journey and the World Heroes seriesBoneSnapDeez wrote:Whoa.... Another amazing compilation I didn't know existed until now...
