Are you hearing the pronunciation while you read?

It's Ray Shhhhhhhhh Al Ghul

not Roz Al Ghul

Gamerforlife wrote:I've sugarcoated it a lot in my posts in other threads about Dark Knight Rises, but if I'm being perfectly honest, I hated Nolan's Bane. I think he's actually the worst villain in the trilogy. I haven't read Knightfall, but I will say that Bane from any of the old DC cartoons that Bruce Timm worked on (like The New Batman Adventures) was much, much better. Even recent depictions of him in Young Justice and Justice League Doom are better than Nolan's version with the goofy mask and ridiculous, British old man voice.

THIS is Bane

The Animated Series Waters Bane down a bit too much. Knightfall ban is just pure bad ass not some Mexican Wrestler.

I DO like Dark Knight rises and just think of it as an alternate retelling. It's easier to enjoy that way. But they straight up did Knightfall It would have been even better. My guess is they would have if Heath Ledger didn't pass. I think Bane's Voice would be some weird Island voice rather than his TAS Latino Voice or His Sean Connery Voice in DKR.

For the Record Bane and Ra's Al Ghul are my Favorite Batman Villains.

To me, it's not even debatable that Joker is Batman's greatest villain, especially right now:

The New 52 Death of the Family story event has made him more horrifying than ever

However, I do think R'as is definitely in the number 2 spot. However, in recent years I think Talia has been built up as an even better villain than her father was.

Here's the best Joker scene in animated history in my opinion:

My point is: How do you know that when it's just written out and not said aloud in the comics?

And I think Ra's Al Ghul is a better villain than The Joker, too. More of a master-manipulator and planner, and I've always liked those villains more.

I really like "lil Depressed Boy"
Its kinda like if "juno", "Scott pilgram"and "office space" had a 3 way and had a baby with the perfect mixture of all 3 parents. Its a very laid back, normal everyday life themed comic book which is fun to read because sometimes the thing LDB goes through is stuff we go through and its very easy to relate to him.
Plus its heavly influenced by music and VIDEOGAMES!!

I think the Joker is all those things too, you just can't tell WHAT he's planning or HOW he's manipulating you because he is so unorthodox and unpredictable. Joker's the only villain with no real MO or profile that Batman can rely on. Shit just happens when he's around and Batman can't predict any of it. With R'az, it's a game of chess. With Joker, you don't even know what the game is, you just know you're losing it. He's pure chaos. That's what I love about Mr. J. Batman is always 12 steps ahead of everyone. With Joker it's the other way around. Joker is every bit as brilliant as Batman (cause there's a fine line between genius and insanity), just less predictable

Also, I think people use the cartoons as a reference point for pronouncing R'as name, and Nolan's pronunciation has always been different.

I love the line, "I on the other hand" a.k.a. EYE on the other hand

That's brilliant writing, and shows how brilliant The Joker is. Those are the glory days of Batman cartoons

Geoff Johns is off of Green Lantern. Green Lantern #20 will be his last issue. And the rest of the creative teams on the other GL books are also leaving..

As fantastic as Geoff Johns' run has been, it's about time. His storytelling was refreshing and exciting. But after reading a continuation of basically the same story for this long, it's starting to get a little stale.

I'm ready to go back to the high-adventure space stories Hal used to go on, again.

I'd love to see Johns return to the JSA again. But it looks like that is Robinson's project, for now.

I'd like to see Ron Marz return for another whack at Green Lantern. He did wonders with Kyle Rayner, when most fans expected him to be temporary. Let's see what he can do with Hal Jordan and a full-fledged GL Corps.

This is why we need a real life Watch Tower and a real life Superman or Green Lantern

And let's not forget the Tunguska event that happened years ago. Seriously, where's Earth's space police when you need them?
