Re: Random Gaming Thoughts
I had to add one of my "adult" games to the RFGen database while I was cataloging my games because apparently no one else owns it.
I felt really embarrassed.

Re: Random Gaming Thoughts
I knew not to trust his pervert beard.
I finally gave up on my last run on Xenonauts was finally ruined. I was fighting an uphill battle against three alien bases and while I could keep up in tech, I knew it was going to be too difficult. Then an alien came and blew up one of my bases. For me, that's game over.
And now I feel a bit weird, because the thought of starting from scratch seems a bit like a chore. Doesn't that happen to you in certain games? You get so into having this big empire, or tech or whatever than when it's time to start again you start feeling lazy.
I can't be alone on this, that's for sure

That's basically what happens when I play the Diablo games. I'll invest a ton of time in one or two characters, then go back and try to build up a new character and get bored before I start unlocking the fun toys.

Re: Random Gaming Thoughts
see it's funny you say this, because your thread title is "Don't play XCOM, play Xenonauts" and yet XCOM is the only game that I can play for 20 hrs, have my ass handed to me, and I'll just gladly restart an entirely new campaign.Erik_Twice wrote:And now I feel a bit weird, because the thought of starting from scratch seems a bit like a chore. I don't have the same feeling with Xenonauts. Though in fairness, it hasn't even sucked me in enough yet to actually both a campaign either.

Re: Random Gaming Thoughts
I wonder if it's a matter of difficulty. Xenonauts is far more difficult than the original game so starting the path of suffering again might be less apealing.

I would think this is part of it yeah. Xenonauts is indeed, damn hard.Erik_Twice wrote:I wonder if it's a matter of difficulty. Xenonauts is far more difficult than the original game so starting the path of suffering again might be less apealing.
