I picked up the first 2 books of Knightfall. I ALMOST picked up Avengers VS X men

aside from Knightfall, I also picked up Batman VS BANE and the first issue of Superior Spiderman. I think the concept behind Superior Spiderman is ingenious and I'm surprised they never tried something like that before.

Knightfall I'm barely into but I'm loving so far. Did Nolan even read Knightfall? DKR bane isn't half as interesting as Comic Bane.

The same can be said for Ra's Al Ghul, They couldn't even pronounce his name correctly in the movies.

Figures fat nerd rant

It's just a story. why get so worked up about it? Esp to the point of death threats towards the author.

I've sugarcoated it a lot in my posts in other threads about Dark Knight Rises, but if I'm being perfectly honest, I hated Nolan's Bane. I think he's actually the worst villain in the trilogy. I haven't read Knightfall, but I will say that Bane from any of the old DC cartoons that Bruce Timm worked on (like The New Batman Adventures) was much, much better. Even recent depictions of him in Young Justice and Justice League Doom are better than Nolan's version with the goofy mask and ridiculous, British old man voice.

THIS is Bane

Are you hearing the pronunciation while you read?

You think he's something else, skip to 4:16 and introduce yourself to Jim of Geeking Out.

It looks like "What if the Age of Apocalypse was an Avengers story?" But that's not a complaint, from me. I loved the Age of Apocalypse, and I like the Avengers. So I'm in.

So Gail Simone is off Batgirl and apparently Snyder is leaving Swamp Thing. Along with the TV cancellations of Young Justice and Green Lantern the Animated Series, I'm feeling like this is a crappy time for DC fans.

Well, at least I can look forward to this:
