Random thoughts on commercials (not making jokes, just observations):
"Limited Edition Diapers" exist. I find this mind numbing.
There is a commercial where a woman's panties turn into water after throwing them (it?) into a guys face. Kind of find that as a turn on.
I miss the super cheesy Certain Dry commercials.
Apparently after you teach your son to shave it is mandatory to play catch with him.
The marketing team at Ziploc has run out of good ideas.
The new Honey Nut Cheerios commercial is pretty incredible.
I miss Mentos commercials. Also miss Chunky Soup commercials featuring NFL STars and their fake Moms.
The chicken in KFC commercials kind of creeps me out.
Apparently smoking makes your limbs fall off.
No one can play a zombie as well as Nathan Barnatt.
The lady in the liquid plumber commercial gives me a semi. I'll pass on the "double impact" though.
Nair keeps telling me women are super hairy. Gross.
Please tell me the people in the "blindfold" Febreeze commercials are actors.
P'zolo. Enjoy your two months of being on a menu. No one is going to order out for a hot pocket.
How come every robber in Home Security commercials is white? Sacred of racial scrutiny a bit?
If I need to know my credit score I'll apply for a loan if I need it. Please stop with the awful jingles.
Old Spice jumped the shark. Bring back the guy who rides horses backwards.
If you have ED, you also have a hot wife who always wants your junk in her who-haa.
Every kid on Earth is white (with a 'tude) and has an awful long bowl haircut.
People apparently do gymnastics in crowded living rooms.

What is it with local businesses and the owners featuring their kids in some way in their commercials?
Re: Random Thoughts Thread
And the kids are always missing a tooth or lisping their lines while looking either extremely bored or excited.AppleQueso wrote:What is it with local businesses and the owners featuring their kids in some way in their commercials?
But there is a good side to this; one day they'll tout "I was in a commercial once" and then have to show it.

I guess it's supposed to be "cute" or something.AppleQueso wrote:What is it with local businesses and the owners featuring their kids in some way in their commercials?

Oreos have been made for 100 years. Technically they're limited edition too, just like every other manufactured product. When we go hurtling into the sun or the cold far reaches of space they won't be made anymore. I'd say that anything that had more than a thousand or two of them isn't very limited. 10,000K+ of some item? Not all that limited.Luke wrote:"Limited Edition Diapers" exist. There are probably people on diapers.com who are really excited about the limited "Hawaiian" diapers. I think diaper collectors exist.Hobie-wan wrote:Oreos have been made for 100 years. Speaking of things for your butt, my local Wal-Mart store replaced it's photography studio with an entire room stocked of toilet paper. Barnatt would have a blast in there.

As the great Jerry Seinfeld once put it, "It's 'limited' based on how many we can sell."Hobie-wan wrote:Oreos have been made for 100 years. Oh, man, if Turkey and Syria go to war, Middle East politics as we know it will be shaken up for years to come.

I'd say that 3 is more like it; maybe 2 if you have flashcarts for them and a bunch of roms, to save on space for cartridges. As long as those three systems aren't a Microvision, a model 1 Lynx, and a Virtual Boy, you should be fine.sabrage wrote:How many handhelds is "too many" for an 8 hour road trip? Max 2?
