Not if you have money on the game! Sorry I don't know anything about basketball or why that would be weird. Although, I've heard that everybody who isn't from Seattle or Miami hates the Heat.dsheinem wrote:Is it weird that I really hope that Miami wins tonight and that LeBron, Wade, and Bosh get their ring?

is it weird that I get enjoyment everytime James *almost* gets a ring but doesn't?dsheinem wrote:Is it weird that I really hope that Miami wins tonight and that LeBron, Wade, and Bosh get their ring?

Yes. Very weird considering that would lead to less airtime of ESPN's Sage Steele, who I would very much like to make interracial children with. Seven games please, more Sage Steele.dsheinem wrote:Is it weird that I really hope that Miami wins tonight and that LeBron, Wade, and Bosh get their ring?
edit* It's also weird that you didn't mention Shane Battier, who is arguably the best asset to the Heat.

Yeah, that seems to be the case. I guess I don't get the LeBron hate. Leaving Cleveland was obviously the right decision for him financially and, as it turns out, competitively. He seems like a nice guy and grounded individual who has really done a fine job of growing up under a ton of fucking scrutiny ever since he was in high school. Haters gonna hate and all, but there's no denying he's talented.Stark wrote: I've heard that everybody who isn't from Seattle or Miami hates the Heat.
I sorta feel the same way about Tiger Woods right now too - I am rooting for him to do well again.

for the record, I don't hate Lebron. I think he's easily one of the most talented players currently in the NBA. Maybe THEE most talented even. But y'know, as a Celtics fan... he's the enemy. He's fitting the role of villain for me. I don't want him to win. But I can't deny that watching him play makes the season all the more exciting.dsheinem wrote: Yeah, that seems to be the case. Given that your team is a perennial rival, no - not at all.noiseredux wrote:is it weird that I get enjoyment everytime James *almost* gets a ring but doesn't?dsheinem wrote:Is it weird that I really hope that Miami wins tonight and that LeBron, Wade, and Bosh get their ring?
