Re: Playstation Vita thread
Thinkin if I should pick up the Hatsune Miku Limited Edition Vita next week in Japan. It's kinda pricey, but I can't resist. I am irrationally rationalizing by thinkin "You can only have one PSN account assigned per Vita, so this could be for my JP account". It's a bit otaku-ey, so I would probably have to hide it from my fiance (just like Gal Gun), but I don't care.

Re: Playstation Vita thread
I watched an unboxing video on youtube to see how the Vita bundles were packaged.
Apparently, the Madden bundle came with the game in a plastic looking sleeve; not a retail box. :/
I hope the Assassin's Creed bundle comes with a retail case otherwise I'll be slightly ticked. Chances of it coming with a retail case aren't looking too good though.

While not quite the same, I have a Gran Turismo bundle PSP and that came with the UMD in a cardboard sleeve. So, yeah, I wouldn't hold my breath for a full retail box in that bundle.Opa Opa wrote:I watched an unboxing video on youtube to see how the Vita bundles were packaged.

Re: Playstation Vita thread
I thought about getting it too, but I think I'll just get the plain white Vita when it arrives here. I don't like the bite white rectangle cutting out part of the graphic on the Miku Vitahashiriya1 wrote:Thinkin if I should pick up the Hatsune Miku Limited Edition Vita next week in Japan. I emailed Sony about it.isiolia wrote:While not quite the same, I have a Gran Turismo bundle PSP and that came with the UMD in a cardboard sleeve. So, yeah, I wouldn't hold my breath for a full retail box in that bundle.
I basically asked them will the Assassin's Creed bundle come with the retail game packaging (because it shows the retail box on their own site, for crying out loud!).
I'll post again with their response (if/when I get one).

All right. Got a response. Here's the short of it:Opa Opa wrote:I emailed Sony about it.

Translation: No case.I would like you to know that images displayed on our website are used for marketing reasons, and unless stated, do not actually portray the items that will come with the bundle package. The only recommendation we would be able to make would be to contact the retailer that you pre-ordered the Assassin's Creed bundle from, and see if they have additional information, or if they would have additional game cases available for your game.
And they gave me a link to Sony's Vita Accessory page that contains a case for multiple games/memory cards. Yep, those accessory cases sure look great on the shelf.
Re: Playstation Vita thread
The initial launch bundle I got with Little Deviants came with a case, so did the PS3 bundle I bought with Harry Potter on BR. I don't understand why this is different. Lame if it doesn't.Opa Opa wrote: Translation: No case.

Re: Playstation Vita thread
That's sad that Sony N.A. doesn't include the cases. Does it really cut into costs/space THAT much? All of the JPN bundles I've ever bought or seen for PSP and Vita always came with the retail case. I guess Nintendo N.A. does the same thing because when I bought my red Wii, New SMB Wii came in a cardboard sleeve.
Re: Playstation Vita thread
Zen Pinball 2 is out on Vita and is a lot of fun.. not to mention the graphics are super sharp and gorgeous.
It's also cross-buy, so anything you buy on one system, you get on the other as well... if only my PS3 hadn't bit the dust.

Re: Playstation Vita thread
So I emailed support about the promotion and they agreed to make an exception and said they will waive the cost of MLB 12 The Show and the 4 GB card.retrosportsgamer wrote:So Amazon has decided to package in a free MLB The Show 12 and 4 gig memory card when you buy the Madden Vita bundle. Gee isn't that nice two days after I get mine in the mail? I'm emailing them to see if the offer can be extended, otherwise I'll consider returning it (I didn't have a chance to open it this weekend) and re-ordering with the new deal.
Pretty darn good service there.
Now I have (well, will have) an extra memory card. I know someone that has that on their want list also....
