I think I fucked up, y'all. I let my GF download Sims 4 to play on my rig. I may not get the machine back.

Or now you can get a new computer!

Sounds like you may as well kiss goodbye to it and her for a year or two  (seriously I've seen people get sucked in and when they finally stop playing it's like that's all they've been doing....a little strange really  )

She was hardcore into Sims 3 for a while, so it doesn't bode well. Maybe I should use this time to pay attention to my consoles.

But I really just want to play XCOM. :|

With any luck she'll come to the same conclusion as Yahtzee and decide Sims 4 is just a stripped down version of Sims 3 and you can have your computer back.

In the mirror, with a knife.

I just bought the first Dead Rising to hold myself off for a while, and so far my main thoughts are on how there's a bigger focus on guns and their power, without really that much on melee. Melee is a huge part, mind you, but taking out Psychopaths pretty much requires guns in some cases. (Like the guys in the humvee...)

I can't think of a single time I preferred using guns in the original Dead Rising.

Get yo'self some durability books and the mini chainsaws and katanas.

Hell, I remember running down the sniper family members with a sledgehammer.
