If it is windex, it has dye and perfume in it. That means there is a residue.

Well it's not windex so it has no perfume but it does have dye. My main thing when I'm cleaning it it to take a dry towel and almost polish it after I've dried it to get any excess off and so I don't have to get my stuff any wetter then I need to.

It does wonders for the analog nubs though.

I make my own Windex, which works really well for me. I mix ammonia with rubbing alcohol, then dilute it with water. Then I dye it blue so it'll look nice.

I make my own windex too! All it takes is sugar and water! Real popular on Saturn's moon Titan

Ugh... I'm getting the Dwarf Fortress itch again. I made it as far as actually digging out my castle last time.

I'm a bit disappointed by the small number of Final Fantasy soundtracks. Apparently there were more at some point, but they were taken down? Major bummer. They do have Journey, Flow and Symphony of the Night soundtracks though. I might pick those up. I prefer to own the actual CDs, but I've got quite a few Itunes cards that need using.

They had a couple remixed Mother 3 ones a while ago, I forget if they still do or not.

Really? I'll have to look into that. Do you remember what they were called?

Mother 3i and Mother 3+.

How awesome would it be to be the guy who gets paid to blow a whistle at DMX concerts?

What other rap groups use a lot of whistles? Could make a career out of this.

I guarantee it's just one guy that does it for everyone in hip hop. I'm sure that guy is super ballin too.

I don't think Windex is a problem as long as it is not used directly on any of the electronics. Any of the fluid that might soak in could cause issues though.

I use Liftoff to clean the gunk off the exterior of controllers, consoles, game cases and games cart shells. In the case of GBA carts, I clean the exterior with Liftoff, then take it apart for cleaning the contacts with a pencil eraser. Sometimes there is a little dampness on the inside from the Liftoff, so the shell needs drying before popping the PCB back in.

As in flex wood's description of the rubber tops on analog sticks, Liftoff leaves a slightly oily film that "lubricates" the plastic into a shine. The coating seems to dry into the plastic and leaves it shiny. The black controller on the right was a "Flat" finish before I did the "oil" cleaning.

The residue of Windex or Liftoff does not hurt if it is not on any of the electronics. Unknown if long term it might deteriorate or preserve the plastic. I wonder if the yellowing affect to "Fire Retard" plastic such as a SNES Console might be slowed from the oily cleaner preservation? :?

I didn't have one really. I was hanging out in bars when I was 16 till one smoking cigs being a general bad ass. I miss smoking in bars know that I think about it.

But yea when I was under 16 I had to be home by midnight which I never was and eventually my parents got smart and just said they don't care what time I come home just as long as I don't wake anyone up and if I end up in jail they won't bail me out. I should ask what they thought I was doing that would require ball sometime actually, my life of crime didn't stay till I was 17 or almost 18.

I never had a curfew. As long as I kept my dad posted on where I was, and made arrangements to stay with people if it got too late (he didn't like me driving around real late) he was cool with just about anything.

He didn't care if I called him at 3 am to tell him what I was up to, so long as I kept in touch. The only times he ever got pissed were if I did not call.

He trusted me, and I made damn sure to keep that trust.
