What are you playing?
Re: What are you playing?
I have issues playing games when I'm off my meds too. I get very frustrated with games and go crazy when I play something difficult.
My sister told me about Doki Doki Literature Club after she saw a streamer play it. I kinda wanna try it out, but I've bought so much shit during the Steam Xmas sale and wanna play those games first.

Well, Doki Doki Literature Club is free, but if you're on medication for depression or anxiety, I'd advise against it. It's not that it's frustrating; it will emotionally fuck you up. If you do play, please don't play it alone.

I knew it was free, it's just that it wanna finish the games I paid for before I got after the free stuff. I do take meds for depression, but that's a result of my anger problems so I don't think the game will have the same effect on me. I'll still have someone nearby though. I've never had someone advise me to do that before.

Better safe than sorry. I've never been reduced to a sobbing wreck in the fetal position on the floor by a game before I played this one.GSZX1337 wrote:I knew it was free, it's just that it wanna finish the games I paid for before I got after the free stuff. Oh man this basically entices me even more. "It will emotionally fucking wreck you" is basically code language for, "Hey null you need to check this game out!" Whatever it takes to feel something, right?ElkinFencer10 wrote:Well, Doki Doki Literature Club is free, but if you're on medication for depression or anxiety, I'd advise against it. Gunbird again. Taking a small break from Okami. Gunbird is so darn good. I hope they put 2 on Eshop.

I did put the actual spoilers in a spoiler tag here, but yeah, not reading it at all is probably best if you already know you want to play it. All I'll say is that while it DEFINITELY earns the genre description of "psychological horror," it's very far from your "traditional" horror game even among VNs.nullPointer wrote:Oh man this basically entices me even more. I was under the impression that the 'shocking' aspect of the game was more horror-oriented rather than it being an emotional roller coaster. Having said that I'm trying to stay spoiler free so as not to loose impact. I've even avoided reading your (undoubtedly excellent) review in the games beaten thread so as to go in with fresh eyes. Hopefully I'll get around to playing it soon, although I'm currently already in the midst of another VN-ish game, so I'll probably take a cool down with something that's decidedly not a visual novel before I get around to it.

I just started playing Warhammer vermintide. Have to say I'm impressed. Probably the closest thing we will get to a Left 4 Dead 3. I even signed up for the free Vermintide 2 beta.

MUWAHAHAHA I started playing Global Defense Force for PlayStation 2 (Earth Defense Force 2) tonight. Since it's PAL and even with FMCB the PS2 is region locked, I had to put my disc in my PC, rip an ISO, and play using an emulator...but IT'S STILL GLORIOUS. I love EDF so much. This and my Japanese import of EDF 3 Portable for Vita will supply my EDF fix until they get around to localizing EDF 5.

I think I got one of the EDF for ps3 when it was a free ps plus game one month, still haven't played it though. I really need to give my ps3 more love and actually play Yakuza 5ElkinFencer10 wrote:MUWAHAHAHA I started playing Global Defense Force for PlayStation 2 (Earth Defense Force 2) tonight.
