I need a Ninja Commando to finish out my dog-tag collection; I don't think that's ever going to happen.
Are these eBay auction prices? 600 for windjammers AES seems outrageous, though what do I know.

Usually within inner communities (or any place other than eBay or Amazon, really) you can find better prices. I've read that many long-time Neo Geo fans find that the hobby is recently hitting the mainstream quite hard, so in theory any public marketplace should have prices representative of that.

@ shallowgamer every year the prices keep climbing on anything Neo Geo. Even the super common AES games are getting almost out of reach. Ninja Commando (eng.) / Dog-tag will be very expensive now. :( I got my Ninja Commando its (jap.) region back in 2012 and it was like $450. Which I did over pay then but, now that price is considered lowballing lol.

@kidfresh what really sucks about ebay or any other auction is when a cart sell for a astronomical number everybody then that's trying to sell that game thinks its worth that much. Thus making the market for Neo stuff rise to where its almost silly to even think of collecting them. Neo-Geo.com usually has stuff very reasonable if you get to be part of the community. They do like to try to keep the games in the community as much as possible and keep the prices where they should be for the members there.

Find someone else locally with one and borrow their key. Or "rent" one from someone online.

Unless I am crazy, they are all the same. This is also true of most candy cabinets.

if they are all the same, I got one you can use. I dont even lock my marquee.

On another note:

I got my NGPC yesterday and forgot how much I loved the controls on it! The buttons feel so solid, and the stick is the best.

If that's try and one can be borrowed, then I imagine it's a generic blank shape that a copy could be made pretty easily too.

my friend seems to think they aren't all the same but i'm trying to get him to bring his key(s) over here anyway. i really don't want to drill these things out and get metal shavings all over my control panel/floor/face.

When I had my big red my girlfriend quickly and easily picked the locks for the marquee using one of her hair clips:

Good luck! :P

If it does come to that, no vacuum cleaner with pop out tube or dustbuster with crevice tip you can hold next to the lock while drilling to suck them all up?
