Are we allowed to use save states?

To practice, yes. On a high score run it should not be allowed.

Tech Bonuses are your friend.

Edit: Dunpeal and EllertMichael posted scores on the OP already? Where are they, did I miss them? I don't see them in the thread...

Yeah, this is what I meant. You can grind problem spots to learn them better, but when trying for a score, savestates are not legit. In some places, pausing isn't even allowed. Lol

I'm not suggesting we go elitist-strict, 1 cred defaults is fine.

I posted a score around 1am .

I see them *facepalm*. 4 day break between the Axelay discussion and the DB posts.

It appears I still have work to do.

I was really hoping that Dragon Blaze was going to be a popular one, glad to see its gettin love.

Unlike most devs that made really tough competitive manic shooters in the mid to late 90's that liked to either have a 5 stage game with loops, or a 7 stage game with no loops, Psikyo games have a standard 7 stages AND a 2nd loop. I can't imagine how hard this game gets, especially with having to punch each really pissed off boss in the nose while he is spewing madness everywhere.

I'm really glad Psikyo dropped item chaining in this one though, or else I'd be restarting constantly on stage 1 due to loss of points. I think they hit a nice balance here.
