What shmup are you playing now?
Re: What shmup are you playing now?
As mentioned in the peeves thread, I just got R-Type DX in, and now it's replaced Les Miserables as my subway activity.

Yeah Ive probably played them back when before but never "into" it.But as much as you talk about them and the couple great ones we've traded
(Dead Moon,Robo Aleste) for in the past have converted me.
From what Ive played and Im no pro in the genre,I can say I really, really am impressed with Einhander Idk seems like a game that can make people addicted to shmups if they havent tried before.
Ha I didn't know that, awesome! I'm glad I was able to get another person hopelessly addicted to this genre

I was playing some Mushihimesama Maniac on the ps2. Damn hard game, made it to the 3rd boss. Got a new high score in Espgaluda as well, died on level 4 I think. Its great to come back to these games after a break.

My backloggery sig says it all... :/

You were able to get 3 games on yours, but I know the reason for that -- you joined much earlier than I did

Which version of Gradius III is it that you can't get past the Moai boss? Surely not the SNES port?

Re: What shmup are you playing now?
Im not too informed when it comes to Gradius. Maybe the ps2 or psp port?
So, I tried out Exed Exes. How had I not played this before? So fast-paced, definitely my favorite capcom-developed shmup.
Now that I have tried it, I am fairly sure you would like Recca.

It says "Gradius III & IV", so he's likely playing the PS2 compilation.
Good luck o.pwuaioc, Gradius III is fucking brutal.

Re: What shmup are you playing now?
To be honest, I was never crazy about Capcomc 1940 series, nor was I a huge fan of Legendary wings. I had began to think that I would only like shmups that capcom produced, not developed.
I never would have guessed I'd enjoy one of thier earlier shmups so much. Thanks for showing me this gem!

Nah, you can get three two. I only had 1 for a while. After updating, but not adding anything, then appeared three.

Yeah, as brunoafh said, it's the PS2 version. I can rock the SNES port, but this giving my romp a good, hard kick.

I picked the name because I loved the game -- and to see so many people getting the Classics Collection to try it is good for me (and Capcom)
