The first few seasons are so good. Watching the episode where Becky and a friend get drunk, and it is laugh out loud funny.
It's a shame the show went on for so long because the last three seasons were garbage.
Jerry Seinfeld has said "They could have paid me twice what they were per episode, but it was time to quit. We were out of good ideas". Too bad Roseanne didn't have Jerry's clarity.
I remember the show seriously nosediving when they won the lottery, though i imagine it was already on a decline long before then. It's been ages since I've sat down and watched any of it.
The 'twist' series ending was such a copout too.
i thought the twist was dumb as hell. newhart was always one of my favorite sitcom finales.

Which ones? I remember watching Newhart, though not religiously. Also this makes me think of the Tommy Westphall universe.
There's a list somewhere on the net. I've got a friend in California who can spout almost every show, but he won't be available until 9pm est. I'll find out though.
With my new TV purchase, I'm trying to find more reasons to watch the HD feeds.
I saw Last Resort tonight on ABC. I don't do scripted series as much as I did, but it had a Wargames-style feel to it and I think it's gonna do very well this season.

Just saw the premiere of Elementary, which is a modern day Sherlock Holmes with Lucy Liu as Watson. Was a pretty good first ep. It gave me a real House vibe, only this time the British guy isn't doing an American accent.

Ive heard about this show. I haven't seen it but I can already guarantee it's not as good as Sherlock.
