Finish Him!

Got a couple great deals shipped from noise - SPECIAL EDITIONS! :D

Mortal Kombat Deception Premium Pack - $10.00 Shipping

This is a Double Pack with a Special Sleeve. Two cases and two game discs, a fat box!

noise did a great review here:
http://www.rfgeneration.com/blogs/noiseredux

Additional Info
Comes with a Metal Collectors Trading Card, all the other cards are in a "Virtual Card" video on the game disc. The virtual cards don't seem like much, but just let each video clip run in it entirety for a nice surprise. An inside look at each actor who is digitized for the game. Even the actor for the original Jax is in the video cards. 8)

The history video montage is also a great watch. Interesting to see each of the Mortal Kombats from the first Arcade Fatality clips all the way to this PS2 release. Great stuff! I enjoyed both of the Mini Games. Although Capcom Puzzle Fighter is better, Puzzle Kombat is not at all bad. The Chess Kombat is great running off the hard drive, really cuts down on the loading screens every time two pieces go to "Kombat" mode. Battle Chess with Mortal Kombat! I still have to try the Konqest Game, have to free up a memory card for a Profile Save. Oh yeah, there is the original Mortal Kombat Arcade game as well as Deception, both very good!

This is a whole lotta stuff! 8)

Madden 2005 Collectors Edition - $ 4.00
Never got into Sports games, but at this price thought I would give it a try. WOW! There is so much extra stuff in this Collector's Edition. Where to start? So many Menus and Sub Menus of candy!

Image

1. Three complete older Madden games
Amazing how far this series has come in graphics and feature. Started out on the Apple II. The older games still had a lot of features. Unique with the 2005 roster, not the original teams!

2. Video History of all the Madden games
There are a ton of Madden games, even shows why Madden 1996 was never released. There is an interesting early video clip showing Electronics Arts first Sports game. One on One Dr J Larry Bird game, remember smashing the backboard? The WTF moment, its there.

3. NFL Trivia Game
I am doing very poorly at this.

4. Madden Moments
Play 20 different great plays from the past 15 years of Madden all in the current PS2 game engine. Some great instant action plays.

5. Football Camp
Practice passes, runs, tackles etc. A nice way to learn all the moves of the PS2 controller.

Every time I reboot, a new live action Video clip starts the opening "Its in the Game." Worth the reboots to see these. Really, I don't care for Sports games, but this one is staying in the Hard Drive! There is so much to explore! Football on Memorial Day Weekend! :D

Must be a lot in this game, IGN did a SEVEN PAGE review:
http://ps2.ign.com/articles/536/536306p1.html

Only $19.00 shipped for both!

All three discs are HDAdvance compatible!
Mortal Kombat Deception - Mode 3
Mortal Kombat Arcade - No Mode needed
Madden 05 - Mode 3 (Older emulated games don't work in the hard drive)

Ok, I'm not trying to be an ass and I'm glad you're happy with your purchases, but do you need to make 2 or 3 posts for everything you buy? It's crossposting madness. There this post above me, then these 2 others:

http://www.racketboy.com/forum/viewtopi ... &start=546

Totaling feedback is harder with giant posts to scroll through. Starting a post with "+1 Mr AwesomeTrader" and then having short description or story is good for others to get a feel for someone, but doesn't clutter it up.

Finds of the day should be just for fantastic deals or rare finds that are extra special IMHO. Collector's editions from the last 10 years are hardly rare. I think we know every gaming related item you've bought for many months now. If you want to chronicle all of your purchases, that's cool. Why not start your own thread collect them in one place in the Game Rooms & Home Theater section?

A bump in the trader's thread is nice too, but should also be short IMHO.

I've heard the exact opposite.
I should have rephrased that. "I know a lot of people prefer fallout 3 to NV" I've heard a lot of folks who were HEAVILY into fallout 3 disliked NV, but I'm excited to give it a shot anyway :)

Pretty rough. Madden 2005 Collectors Edition originally went for 60 bucks! Same with Mortal Kombat Premium Edition, these are GREAT FINDS!

I thought I was providing a service by not only just listing games, but providing a review. The sharing of gaming discoveries, so others may know of a special game.

The two other posts deal with Transaction Feedback and a Thankyou bump of noise's Sale Thread. I consider posting both mandatory when a good sale happens. At the Transaction Feedback I first post the "+1 Seller" followed by a reason why, it is only three sentences. Why not praise a good seller with their sale link? Don't have to click the link and it saves searching for the curious reader.

By that logic I should be posting every time I come across almost any retro game, as the VAST majority of them can be picked up for WELL below the original retail. I think "finds" are for when you truly find something rare or when you score something for well below what it CURRENTLY goes for online/offline.

How about the uniqueness of the game? Isn't that also important and sharing to others? I'll quit posting my reviews if that is what everyone wants. A few other members have made purchases based on my finds with reviews on this thread.

Why? This is the best football video game ever made.

I'm dead serious.

Unless it were a signed copy or some ridiculous edition of 100, I'd say Madden is about the worst example of a 'unique game' since it's football every year and sells millions of copies. I'm just saying that there's a reviews section and there's also a 'lookit my collection' section where that would be more appropriate. A lot of the same information is being reposted several times, which clutters up the forum and I would say it technically against the rules. Yes, they aren't questions, but it still applies IMHO.
Do not cross-post questions - Posting a thread in more than one forum is annoying and thus not allowed. Just post it once in the correct place.
If someone wants to find a review of these games later, having them in finds is bad anyway. One would want to go to the reviews section and find a topic for the game, not use the search (which kinda sucks) or look through this now 7200+ post thread. If someone wants to see all of someone games or all recent purchases, rare or not, a 'My Awesome Stuff' thread is better than looking for posts by one person in a 7200+ post thread. Again, I'm not saying don't post the stuff you're proud to have acquired. Just post stuff in the appropriate place and try to not repeat unnecessarily. I say that as someone who repeats stuff a lot too. Leave the main feedback thread with short manageable posts so that whomever is trying to add up isn't faced with walls of text so that someone doesn't get a + or - they deserve because they missed it.
