...am I the only one who's never seen a human- no scratch that, an animal die?

Do you live in the city? I can see that being more likely if you don't have a lot of nature to interact with, or at the least roads going through large patches of nature where mishaps occur.

I've seen both a bit too much, and while i'm not living in Zimbabwe, the bit i've seen has softened the reality a bit.

I've never seen a person die, nor have I even seen an already dead body. I've killed several animals in my time though.

Seen a few dead pets, seen my dead grandfather (Which I found rather chilling.)

Never actually seen something in the process of dying though.

I've seen someone die. I was driving home from school and cruising along when a car, a couple feet ahead, to the right lane of me hit a guy who walked onto the freeway and he launched into the air. I stared as the guy literally ragdolled and flew into my lane causing me to switch lanes. I saw him hit the ground and he was done. Went home and cried for the guy. I still wonder every once in a while what made him want to do that.
