hoping some of you can help me, i currently have this VGA box > the VGA to HDMI converter (only one monoprice sells) hooked into my XRGB, which the mini wiki says isn't ideal and it'd be great to free up an AC slot as well as not have to mess with more ports on the framemeister.

Do you have your dreamcast setup like this Dreamcast -> VGA , VGA -> HDMI? You use 2 converters?

Does it work well?

well, one converter i suppose, but yeah it works well enough; it just takes too much space/precious slots than i currently have, and doesn't give as good a result to the framemesiter as it could, as a result.

Yea, I held off buying a VGA Box and just plan on sticking with my cable because of clutter. I plan on getting a VGA to Component or VGA to HDMI converter box. Still researching. But can't imagine having 2 boxes lol. That'd would drive me crazy.

Newegg is even starting to sell VGA cables for the Dreamcast:

I just find that funny lol. A few months ago they were going for a lot on eBay, now you can find pretty decent price boxes and really cheap cables.

wait, would that cable work for my purposes without this powered converter? i don't think it would, but man that'd be a better solution for me than my current setup.

I honestly don't know anything about the framemeister.

But it should work with the VGA to HDMI.

This is a pretty good combination that won't break your wallet:

The white cable looks really nice too :)

probably would have been smart if Nick had announced this, but those new VGA cables are apparently available at the RB store for $23

...and don't forget that he has a 20% off promotion running til the end of the month.

How do you use the 20% promotion?
