Anyways congrats on getting the interview.

I contacted a company he is affiliated with to get a good working email address and then did the rest myself over email and the phone. Working on the podcast over the years has certainly given me a good education in how to get hold of people, how to make an interview seem worthwhile/interesting to participate in, etc. I'm an old pro at this point

Thanks! I just finished it up, and he was a blast to chat with. I ended up having a little less time than I had hoped, but got lots of good stuff anyway. It is always great to chat with someone whom you much admire and whose work has been important to you.

Smile: Had a great birthday, got to eat out, and got a cookie cake. Kinda sucks it was on a Thursday, but I can still go do something tomorrow.

Frown: Tomorrow, everybody will be at the football game, so I won't have anybody to hang with. All my friends are band geeks. Also, I'm a bit annoyed with how a lot of newer music styles of looked into are skinhead influenced/ highly related to skinheads. I might end up looking like some kind of racist or something.

The Oi! genre and some of the other punk shootoffs have become quite heavily influenced by the culture in the last 30 years. Metal, especially black metal, is quite prevalent with them. In fact, it is commonly used as a way to attract younger generations. (Ever notice the two main extremes of headbangers? Shaved head w/beard or long hair w/beard...) Some newer rockabilly. Psychobilly/Gothabilly are full of them. How I orignally learned about the Billyhawk. Finally, they are slowly growing in the underground/XXX/Outlaw country. (It'd seriously be nice if music lovers would agree on genre names.)

Personally, I don't mind skinheads, and I know some. Its just the racist ones I can't stand.

Smile: Started packing up today for the move into my own place on the 11th (rooming with a friend, we're on the third floor so that'll suck getting in there haha). Nice trip down memory lane cleaning out my closet and drawers... found a ton of PC games with the big boxes I didn't even know I still had, Shivers, Frogger 3D, Need for Speed III, Oddworld, Lost Vikings 2, etc heh. Lots of other old videogame accessories and stuff. Some cool old school projects, one has a picture of me playing Nintendo when I was 3 which is awesome, found some old yearbooks I thought I misplaced, tons of drawings, a notepad full of cheat codes I had written down filling the entire thing (I'm keeping that haha), tons of printed off game guides dating back to 2001, a picture of Britney Spears, and some other random stuff. Next up to go through my clothes and clear out what I don't need...

I seriously must be super allergic to dust or something, eyes are dry and been pretty shaky for awhile now. Gonna take a shower to clean up.

I've got two big boxes of like a third of my games that are DVD cased (haven't even gotten to the PSX/SNES stuff), half my shelf down pretty much. I have so much crap, moving is gonna suck lol.

Meanwhile, his Lexus was smoking and smelling all kinds of bad on the way out. Somehow I doubt he made it five miles.
