Isn't it ironic that you guys are having a conversation that has taken place off and on, non-stop, about that song...for 15 years, and carrying on like this conversation has not been had 10,000 times already.

Or are you being sardonic?

Or in Luke's case, iconic?

Someone at Food Lion put their cigarette out onto one of the caps on a bottle in a 24-pack of water. Someone apparently just stuck the still-heated but into the cap and it melted and was stuck in the cap.

Show me the irony. I don't see it...

Fown-someone else is buying a dumb tablet. What is the point to them? Just get a smartphone or IPOD Touch, the apps aren't crazy overpriced. Unless youre talking about a android based tablet then, never mind ignore this, but ipads are just large ipods.
HUGE SMILE- In theater on friday we did fractured fairy tales, and my group did Goldilocks and the three banks (he robs the banks) and the teacher said we did such a good job, that if we were doing normal skits, and not mini ones to get used to actiong, she would have given us a 100 easy. Today she told my group that it was the best skit that any class had done out of all the classes, and told us to come up with more comedy gold.

:) : Working more hours
:( : Working more hours
:D : The place I work for has me working for what amounts to part-time. I was hired by the executive director to make all their material look professional. The woman who originally used to send me stuff didn't really have a clue what she was doing. She was in charge of all the print and web-based media and promotions, but she had very little concept of aesthetics and design. She was supposed to send me stuff to work on, but rarely did. She often times ended up doing it herself or having someone else in the office do it, because she'd sit on stuff until 2-3 days before an event and rush all the work at the last minute. This resulted in a lot of bad typefaces and clip-art (and watermarks. Dear, god, the watermarks.... >_<.)

Well, she retired in July (there was much rejoicing), and to replace her they hired someone who used to work at the local newspaper. She knows what she's doing, and frequently sends me things to work on in a timely manner.

I've been working from home, but since she started, I've had a standing meeting with her once every two weeks. Last week I get a message from her saying, "I need you here." One of the higher-ups gave her a flyer that was described to me as "god awful." Apparently this happens frequently and she can't stand it anymore. So she and the executive director decided to fix me up a place in the office where I can work for 3 days a week.

Now, they tried setting me up in that office before, but my computer stubbornly refused to pickup their wi-fi connection (or their router stubbornly refused to connect to my computer, take your pick), so I had to manually plug in to the existing connection of a free desk for the three days they wanted me there. Which was all fine and dandy until they hired a new clerk who needed to use that computer on those particular three days :? They moved me around a lot after that and I eventually ended up in a different building in a dark, noisy, open hallway, with people walking behind me constantly. It was distracting as hell and drove me insane, and people were just emailing me things anyway, so I figured f*#@ it, I can be more productive at home. And permission to remain home I got.

So... we'll see how it goes. This place has a lot of print work, a lot of which I never see. Most of it is small stuff, but they do use a lot of it and they update it yearly. So if they can get me hooked up at the office my part-time work could potentially turn into full-time work, which would make me very happy :D

/long explanation no one care about
