Fair enough, but you do know that the EFTA means that you have to comply with most EU regulation while you don't get a say when it's being written right?

And for most of those countries the EFTA was established as a stepping stone to eventual membership. Though Iceland stays out of the EU cause of fishing rights, of all things, and Switzerland cause well......banks and shit....don't know what the story with Norway is so I can't comment and Liechtenstein....well come on, it has 18,000 citizens xD

This #Yesallwomen is batshit crazy.

I replied to one comment...ONE, and all I said was "That sucks". Now I am apparently "diminishing the problem" an as a man "want to defend all men" and am "inconsiderate".

Not touching this bullshit again. Might as well slap a bog ol' "Boys Not Allowed" on this shit. #WhineyAssEntitledPeopleWhoDon'tUnderstandLifeSometimeSucks

Seems appropriate for the entire men and women conversation.

You could say it is an "EU-lite". I wouldn't be comfortable joining yet another Union.

I would say that it's better to be a part of the EU rather in EU-lite, since you can leave both just as easily (through a referendum) and at least from inside the EU you can have your voice heard.

I've read the story about your wife mate, and it's really sad, but honestly it's the fault of the British government. They've made such a huge fuss over immigration with the UKIP and all, that it's normal people like you who get hurt the most

@pulsar_t
there are several male rights movements but all are a joke and are nothing more than an outlet for sexism and to uphold the patriarchy. There is no need for a male rights movement as feminism covers all sexes for equal rights. What rights were men missing? Anything men hate about the current society who are't sexist would benefit from the feminist movenent. All our hardships were brought about by the patriarchy, which is other men. How have we been wronged when we are the ones making the rules? Were we slaves to women, considered property of women, had none or few rights because of women, paid less than women?

Elliot Rodgers is a sign of the current misogyny and racism that exist not of mental illness. Our society made him feel entitled and without that none of the mental illnesses he might have would make him kill those people.

Well, if feminism is about equality, I think they should change the name to something else, because all the negative connotation around "feminism" doesn't make me feel any better about it as a man.

No, this guy was pretty clearly mentally ill.

I don't know what comment you responded to but "that sucks" comes off as something not serious. I mean if I told a person in a wheel chair "that sucks" when they complain about there not being ramps at a place, I come off like its a minor problem like he got a paper cut or something. When your cousin said her comment do you think "that sucks" is a good response. Can't fault the the oppressed for hating the oppressors. It may not solve anything but it's understandable.

Feminism might cover, in theory, the needs of men. But in practise it's a movement by women for women with a long history of throwing male rape victims under the bus and that already struggles to cover the issues of women that aren't white, heterosexual and cisgendered.

Around here feminists were responsible for a law that rules that domestic abuse only applies to women and another that applies a lesser sentence for a rapist that rapes men to one that rapes women. It's not the only case and telling men that their worries are covered by some of the people keeping them away from help is kind of nasty.

Feminism is also failing to adress forced military service only for men in the countries that have them nor, has failed to adress male gender roles and is ignoring the increasingly worrysome problem of male education. There are too many things feminism in its current form is not adressing so as to claim that male movements are not needed because someone has it covered.

I would greatly prefer a joint effort towards equality that is not bound by the same divisions that these groups seek to destroy but at this point the needs of men won't be met without the creation of interest groups by men.

No, this guy was pretty clearly mentally ill.

So he came up with racism and misogyny on his own. The websites he was on he created? Again his illness alone didn't cause this. I was not claiming he had no mental illness. You can't use mental illness as a scapegoat. "He was just crazy" doesn't address anything but that we are still pretty clueless on mental disorders.
