They have PSX / PS2 to Xbox 360 afapters called XFPS. They require a wired controller to get going.

I use this and it works great.

Anyone want the ultimate arcade setup for the house?

so you have to connect a 360 wired controller (for example my EX-2) in, and then connect the PS2 controller you want adapted?

if I got one of them and one of these id be sorted :p

Sega released a Saturn pad for the PC with a USB connector. From what I have read, it works flawlessly on the PS3. Snap one up from eBay before the price skyrockets. At around $30 it is the ultimate pad for the PS3.

Another option is a Nubytech Street Fighter pad for the PS2 (released with the Street Fighter II Anniversary collection). They are damned good pads. Not quite Saturn quality but close. I picked up a new-in-box Chun Li version for $20 locally.

guys I have some amazing news :p

for any of the people here who have genuine Saturn Pads (which obviously there a lot) you can pretty easily get it working on the PS3 is you have a few adapters.

I couldnt believe it - I have a 'V-Twin' which I use for MAME on my PC - it takes GC, DC and PSX

so, expecting it not to work, I brought my beloved be-SANWA'd DC Agetec stick downstairs with the V-Twin

to my surprise, without even seeing any popup/install type stuff - tapping it left and right started to move the XMB menu the minute I connected it

so I then fired up TekkenDR:Online and started playing - it worked perfectly...

I just had to swap it from left to right - i.e. swap RP for LP and RK for LK - the start button was even actually working as the start button!

I couldnt notice ANY lag either so I was chuffed - I found it a bit hard to get perfect hunting hawks everytime (as I can easily do with the HRAP (which is less thick/sticky feeling than my Agetec)), but I think after a little adjustment I could do this easily - anyway Im pretty sure the HRAP will work too (the V-Twin has PSX input too).

OK so then I decided Id really push my luck and try connecting my Saturn to DC adapter into the V-Twin. I thought there was NO WAY that would work, but it did, and I hot swapped it too! - I still couldnt notice any major lag at all - so I think its looking very possible that Ill be able to use my Saturn pad to play SFIV on the PS3 :p

I also may be able to use my Wii/GC NeoGeo stick on it, as the V-Twin also has a GC input :p

However, I tried the Saturn Pad with SF Alpha 1 (I bought and downloaded off PSN) - and for some reason the D-Pad didnt work with that - I am still pretty optimistic that it will work with SFIV though - which will be awesome :0

I'm seriously impressed, Im certain I tried all this with the 360 before and it didnt work - while I like my EX-2, this puts my PS3 on a different level in terms of stick and D-pad options if they all work! - NeoGeo Stick, DC Agetec and HRAP! - it looks like Ill deffo be gettin Tekken 6 for the PS3 first - although I had kinda decided this after reading some comments from Namco about difficulties converting (the arcade board is PS3 I think).

I'll be the first to admit that I aint exactly Sony's biggest fan, but little things like this just really impress me, also being able to actually copy data to your HD (unlike the 360), being able to access the internet (I got a Logitech DiNovo for this) and also I genuinely do think that playback of video files is slightly better than the 360 too, and obviously its way quieter - I suppose it also is a Blu-Ray player too eheh

unfortunately there aint that many games I can think of on the PS3 that I would actually use sticks for - or even d-pads, but Im sure more will eventually arrive :)

sorry for going TOTALLY off topic there...

haha

Im a freak who got too excited - the PS2, DC and Saturn stuff does work - but obviously my NeoGeo Stick actually connects to the Wiimote so that doesnt work eheh

still Im chuffed with using my HRAP to play TekkenDR:Online :)

Hahaha, that's awesome. The only adapter I have is the innovation Saturn/PSX -> DC. I was looking at a few USB converters on eBay and they are still priced low. However, I still have no PS3 or 360 so a purchase would just be an attempt in future proofing. I asked around and all of my friends with 360s and PS3s are lame - they have no desire to get SFIV. None are fighting game fans.

Most retail outlets have had the game in stock since last week. The game should be on store shelves and available for purchase now. I would assume pre-orders would arrive at your house today or tomorrow.
