I hate this not addictive comment. Marijuana is psychologically addictive... and that's an ADDICTION. Just because it doesn't give you the sweats and physical pains that cocaine or the sort may give you does not mean it isn't addictive.
If you form a habit for something that is difficult to break... you are thusly addicted, by DEFINITION (the definition states by physical or psychological means).
And if you can't admit it's not addictive, I'll introduce you to thousands of people who go through "withdrawl" type symptoms that include:
desire to smoke again
headache
irritability
laziness/despair driven procrastination
confusion
The symptoms may be psychologically driven, but they are real none the less as they occur and inhibit a person.
[edit]
Here's a group of stoners who agree!
http://www.marijuanapassion.com/Marijua ... rawal.htmlThere hasn't been any scientific studies that say marijuana isn't addictive... but there have been tons that say it most likely is.
I will admit of all the drugs I quit it was nearly the easiest to ween myself off of. But there were a few I had an even easier time with:
xanax
hydrocodone / vicadin
LSD
for example. 2 of which are considered highly addictive. So just because you or I had a relatively simple task of weening off of it, does not denounce its addictiveness. ESPECIALLY those who still smoke... I love that one:
stoner: "Marijuana isn't addictive."
me: "ok, then quit."
stoner: "I can whenever I want."
me: "ok, then do it."
stoner: "well, ummm, I don't want too."
me: "k, you aren't supporting your theory very well."
two days later:
stoner: "ugh, dude, I need a bowl bad. I've been sober all day."
Any search around the internet will yield this:
pro-marijuana advocates stating it isn't addictive with 0 proof of it
pro-marijuana advocates stating it IS addictive with or with out proof
scientific studies stating it is addictive
nicotine propaganda ads trying to say marijuana is more addictive then nicotine... or on par (bahahaha, funny how these are always by Phillip Morris and the likes)
health institutes explaining the possible withdrawal symptoms of marijuana and contact info for establishments to help users
hrmm, it appears nearly all the science guru's and part of the stoner community all agree it is addictive.
