Figured the year's a little more than half over, so this warrants reflection. Or rather, I've been considering how to reflect on this adequately for the past few weeks or so, and have come to an answer.PartridgeSenpai wrote:My main goal comes down to playing more and buying less. I'm doing okay lately, but over the past couple years I developed the habit of buying games and never even playing them, let alone beating them. I've really done well on both parts, I think. Granted, last year I didn't spend a lot of money, but traded most of my games in for store credit at the local resale store. This year it's all eBay stuff, but I'm actually keeping track of finances of games this year, so it feels like progress. I've bought a good few things, but I've also sold a ton of smaller games I just didn't want to own, and it's really added up. I've spent like virtually no net money in the past 4 months, and that just feels so great
I've also actually been sitting down a beating games. Maybe I've just been noticing it more since I always post here about it, but it feels like I'm finishing most everything I start, with only a few exceptions. Some games I'm okay with not beating: As long as I had fun with them and don't feel my time was wasted, I've started to be okay with leaving stuff unfinished
