I probably won't get to this until the weekend; Legacy of the Void also drops tomorrow and I know I can get through it faster than Fallout 4.

Been playing all morning, mostly just doing side missions and I am loving it thus far. The phone app is great, nice for maps and really quick to use a stimpack in the head of the moment.

Haven't had a chance to really get down into it but so far I'm loving it. The crafting/workshop mechanic is surprisingly fun. It's nice having a purpose for nearly every single item in the game now. I'm gonna have to use some vacation days here soon, I think...

Over the 50ish hours I've played so far I realized there's no Rat Pack music in the game, and that makes me a little sad.

On the plus side, Power Armor is a blast.

agreed and agreed. the fact that you get it so early in the game is great.

Game is quite godly. Level 24 and haven't touched the power armor since the beginning though. Too lazy?

That it is.

That was about the point where I started using the Power Armor again. When I realized it took Fusion Cores I put it in storage for a while. Then I took it out because I had stumbled upon some high level enemy in an area I wanted to go and wanted the survivability. At that point I discovered through the normal course of scrounging I had picked up a BUNCH of Fusion Cores, and so far that number has still been on a slow up-slope; I can use the Power Armor full time without a problem.

Turns out your companions can use it too; go into the command menu then point the cursor at the Power Armor and the tooltip will be "Get into Power Armor" (you can have them get out as a conversation option). The nice thing is that they don't use Fusion Cores. The kinda crappy thing is they like to eat grenades/rockets and since companions are essential if you bring them into a hot warzone they tend to end up needing full limb replacements afterwards (it still helps survivability because the torso has so much armor that it rarely gets destroyed outside of you deciding that your companion trying them up while you launch Fat Man nukes at them is a good idea). Pro-tip there is to trade with your companion to take the broken pieces off them and fix it up yourself, then trade them back and tell them to equip the pieces.

After 36 hours of play I am just loving this game. The shooting mechanics, the streamlining of perks, the crafting system, and base building are all strong points with me.

My companion is Dogmeat because he doesn't judge me if I pick a lock, steal stuff or eat corpses.

I found my third legendary weapon with explosive rounds: The Combat Shotgun! Along with the "Spray and Pray" and my Explosive Hunting Rifle I have all I need to take on the world!

This shit bugs me so much. I don't give a fuck what you think, Codsworth, I NEEDED to kill off that caravan merchant and take everything he had.
