But that's just this little bear's opinion.

This stands to isolate certain games that could be included such as the Game Boy's music 'games' - where there probably aren't 10 games in the genre at all, and if there are, very unlikely to be 10 noteworthy ones!

Fighting games would probably have this issue too, and First Person Shooters definitely would.

It would equally exclude a great many worthy platformers and puzzle games from the list, which the game boy has in abundance.

Then why not a Top 5? Why not a Top 20 for genres that have more entries worth noting? If there's only 7 games worth mentioning, don't make it a Top 10 just to get to 10, and don't mention 5 and arbitrarily throw games out just to have a Top 5.

The closest thing you can get right now are these kits to make your own Game Boy. Pretty nifty:

yeah the Gamegirl or BeagleBone GamingCape would be perfect. But I would love to buy one over make it. I am far better at making big things over small things.

I'm not very technically inclined. I'm sure if I tried to make one I'd end up destroying either myself or my apartment.

I've been playing Game Boy games on my Droid phone. Some people can't handle not having actual buttons, but it works well enough for me.
