If you DO decide to add CD-ROM capabilities later, try to find a Super CD-ROM unit instead of an IFU+CD briefcase unit. The latter are older and likely to have more mechanical issues.

for the price that Super CD roms go for you could nearly buy a Duo or Duo R

Today hopefully with enough trade value I get this system back.
My retro store has a tg16 with the AV booster installed 2 controllers the turbo tap and power golf. I will be doing some trading if I have enough.
If the deal goes thru and I get this I'm saving to get a big purchase and spend 100.00 on one game
The tg16 everdrive and be done with it

Are there any good TG16/PCE compilations released for any other systems? The Wii VC seems to be the only other good option.

Nope just that contracted Wii deal which sucks. Best option is android emulator and stolen ROMs sadly.

Got the tg16 in box
Came with
Console
2 controllers
AV booster
Alien crush
Power golf
Turbo tap
All for 185 total. I also already owned the turbo arcade stick.
Now time to get the everdrive and be done like my other systems

Just bought dsheinems PC Engine Duo. Finally got one of these and want to play/import some games. I know absolutely nothing about what titles are playable by some with zero knowledge of the language. So, I was hoping you guys could suggest some games that require no reading or are able to be patched for english.

Also, if you have any for sale or know of good sites who will not gouge for games let me know.

Thanks for the help all!

I my experience, the vast majority of text-heavy RPG type games are on CD. And CD games are region-free on the Duo.

Now as far as HuCards go, there are tons that you'd be able to pay without knowing Japanese. Platformers, shmups, whatever. I'd say just seek out the most-recommended games in your preferred genre.
