Hah, he was out to trick you and/or uninformed. Good thing you don't have dietary restrictions -- it's all delicious.Luke wrote:Correct and incorrect in my visit. Carnitas is pork. I think you might've meant that, not barbacoa.
Me= "Is barbacoa like a bbq?"
Employee= "It's our word for pork"
Which means the clerk did not know the menu as barbacoa at Chiptole is indeed shredded beef.

In any given week I may have to use my "discount card" or "loyalty card" for one or two supermarkets, one or two coffee places/restaurants, Best Buy/Game Stop, a Gas Station, etc. These aren't credit cards, they are just cards that take up place in my wallet that I use to my advantage weekly.Luke wrote:
Bifolds (which I call a billfold) make more sense, and I can get behind someone who owns a wallet that is full of family pictures, but otherwise the bulk of it serves no purpose. Besides cash, a debit card, and an ID, what else is worth lugging around? Possibly a bus pass, but that's all.
Past that - it is silly to hold business cards in a separate thing to bring along, so a few of those are in there. I also have an ID card for work that I need beyond my driver's license, and I like to keep at least a few recent receipts in there of things that might need to go back. There's also a spare "key card" for my truck, some stamps, etc. Just having a money clip doesn't help with all these extra things...a trifold wallet that's an inch or so thick though is not a big deal. I don't sit on it often, though...it goes next to me in vehicles, on the desk, etc. along with my keys and phone.

Wallet General
This thread is now about wallets.
I've actually started rocking the split wallet because of my work ID -- I have one of those super-super thin "envelope" style wallets that has my license and my work ID in it that I'm never without, and my main wallet (like the style I linked) that has cash, 1 debit card, and 2 credit cards (mine and my dad's -- I pick up stuff for my folks semi-regularly when i go to visit, and they absolutely insist on paying for it, when I try to pay for it myself they always pay me back, usually too much, and won't take no for an answer)
I could combine into 1, but I like having the work ID/license separate -- I got into a bad habit of buying takeout on my way home from work too often. By not carrying the wallet that has money in it when I go to work, I can't do that!

Gunning for a licensed NES NTSC-U set, follow the madness and poverty here!

This is why I spit and cuss in Spanish when someone mentions Chipotle. If they are somewhere they can't get real Mexican food, I will let it go. So many people I meet in school love it, and I don't get it. At all. I have a feeling its the same for Fuego's, which gets talked about a lot here. We have a Torchy's now too, but I know that isn't actually Mexican food going in.
What's Qdoba?
On topic: Bifold guys.

You don't need the "loyalty" or "Super Max" cards. Tell them your name and phone number and that will do it. Retailers only want to know if you are shopping at their joint, so no card is needed.
Yup. It is silly to have a separate business card holder, and I have no better response other than "that's just the way it works". However it does look professional and does seem rather handsome.
Stamps? You lost me on that one pal, in a hilarious way. I can only imagine "Oh Fuck! My niece is turning three years old in three days! Lucky for me I have these stamps in my wallet!". Keep your stamps in the junk drawer like everyone else. Stamps won't help you out in a pinch.
Keys should be on a key ring, but if you lose your keys often, stop losing your keys or buy a better key ring (or buy some super awesome 80's necklace from Spencer's Gifts that you can attach keys to, as it is hip to be square.)
For me, the only bulge in a man's pants should be a physical attribute. And wallets should never, ever be held in a front pocket.
I'm a slave to fashion.
Re: Qdoba or Chipotle
I maybe in Kentucky, but there is a place here in town that has been around probably 20 years called Fiesta Time. Owner is from Mexico, very nice guy and his whole family are staff and a few others too. The food there tastes better than the shit they called Mexican out in my area of northern san diego county where I was from except this one mom and pop place right across the street from my condo as that place was beyond good with their own custom stuff and above all their rockin salsa.
Anyway don't know how this went to wallets, but mine is a weird one, technically a bifold, but each fold as a thin flap on each to hold a few cards and a license on the other side. I've always kept a wallet in a front pocket, don't know why anyone would find it in the back pocket smart or comfortable since you can't keep an eye on it.
