When does global warming actually show up in real life?

Talk about just about anything else that is non-gaming here, but keep it clean

If GMOs aren't causing harm, then why does it matter if GMOs mix in with the product of farmers who opt out?

I'm also not understanding what you mean by "become reliant on others". Smart farmers keep seeds or kernels or what have you to replant the next year. At that point, they have a bottom line for keeping the GMOs if they choose to, or a bottom line for opting out of GMOs if they went that route. Dealing with animals, I can see where this might be a problem, but GMO animals aren't really something you find on the market easily, that tends to be high dollar stuff.

GMO seeds can be patented and are. The option to keep your seeds is not there in most cases. When GMO corporations start buying the seed market out you start to lose the choice to not use their seed. Read about round-up ready soybeans.

Why? So people don't have a choice? Eat your food and that's it? Do you really think its all fear mongering? And people only make these choices based on fear? Your solution seems to be: be ignorant, don't question, just eat.

It seems to work for McDonalds. That shit doesn't even qualify as food in my book, yet every time I pass one it is completely packed.

Thank goodness that's not our only choice for food.

So Mcdonalds does pass as food to you, is not packed when you pass by and ignorance doesn't work in McDonalds favor :? I fail to see your sarcasm when two statements seem to be the truth.

Not exactly.

More like, a great many people, perhaps a majority, don't give a shit what they eat. So in the case of GMO, resistance is futile. You are free to choose, but short of growing your own food you will never really know, right?

Yes, it is all fearmongoring, and most people make these choices based on fear. The rest base it on vague notions of principles because their lives are so easy they get bored. How many vegans do you see in sub-Saharan Africa?

To be fair I don't see any carnivores in sub-Saharan Africa either, it's really far away.
