@casterofdreams

Which USB cable exactly do you use with your 360 controller?

He specified the wired version of the controller, which may not be as common to see in stores, but isn't hard to find online. It's a much simpler solution if you don't need wireless-ness for PC gaming.

The cable you can attach to the wireless 360 controller is the play and charge kit, which unfortunately does not allow it to work as a controller over USB. It's just for charging, and minimal communications to negotiate connection to a receiver.

Yeah I found that out the hard way. But I guess it was my stupidity for not researching it first. On the plus side I found out that I much prefer the wired version anyway since there's no battery pack on the back.

I was unaware there is a wired-only version of the 360 controller. I always thought it was an extension, and this is why I asked in the first which extension is it.

A good recent import for the PS3 is Puyo Puyo Tetris, which I've been completely addicted to. :lol:

This looks really fun but I'm not sure how I feel about paying to import a puzzle game. =/

It's worth it just for the adorable Sega intro. I almost cried hearing it.

I was lucky and snagged a copy from a US seller off ebay for about $45 shipped. I think it's going for at least $60+ so I was pretty happy about that. However, Sega might actually bring this one to the western market just because of Tetris but I am not holding my breath.

Anyways, I will be trying out the 4 player mode tonight. :) I think they have certainly done a very good job balancing the differences between Puyo Puyo and Tetris. I've never had a problem being decent at Tetris but I have definitely improved my Puyo Puyo skills. I'm trying to consistently get at least 8+ chains and I've been watching a ton of videos for strategies and tips.

I think the issue is in regards to who has the rights to the Tetris name here right? I mean if that wasn't the problem then why wouldn't it get localized even if it was a digital only release?

Tetris is now its own company so they license it out for use.

I'm assuming that Sega did not license it for the western market. However, I'm not sure what kind of agreement they have for the Puyo Puyo Tetris game.
