I think I just don't get the scoring in this game, this is kind of a pathetic score and I thought I had a really good run sorry

So, I've got a question about the scoring. I was just looking over the tables of the past weeks and noticed that teams with 3 scores submitted have all three on the table. This bumps people lower than they should be, right?

The rule is pretty cut and dry, it seems:

^In this case, Yuki's score shouldn't count towards the overall standings, since it is the lowest of the three Columbian Hi-Ballers. Therefore Omerta moves up to 12, dsh up to 13, etc.
This will change teams' overall scores.
ALL THREE WEEKS SHARE THIS DISCREPANCY

^ I don't think the third score is deleted from the standings. I think it just doesn't count against your total team ranking score.

So having a third score can actually help you if they can bump down some first and second place players for each respective team.

The only team that has an amplified disadvantage to this system is the team(s) with less than 3 players or the ones who have 2 or more consistent no-shows.

And on that note... sorry team, I'm not going to be able to post a legit score this week. (If it really smorking matters anyway.)

Yeah, pretty sure it was supposed to work like that. So, if the 3rd place team member doesn't contribute to that week's score, they can still help their team by bumping other teams down by one place.

That was my understanding too. I don't think it would end up changing the overall winners anyway.

I had a lot of fun with this. I had only played one of the four games previous to this tournament, and managed to have one of the top two scores for my team every week.

Sure, I understand this strategy.
I just don't remember seeing that as a rule anywhere.
Each week's thread only states what I already quoted above: "Top 2 scores from each team are counted"
It's true it doesn't really change the final standings, though.
