We'll give it another couple hours to nominate something aside Pro Gear for those who may want to.
I'll switch my pick MUSHIHIMESAMA (2004) to level the field a bit.
I'll call for a number to be picked this evening and noise or hash can tell us what we're playing next.
@noise/hash - for anyone switching, switch out the first pro gear listed with the new pick, then the 2nd, etc...

Re: RACKET STGT - Week 2 - MARS MATRIX scoreboard
Alright dudes, I wasn't going to share strategy for this game, but I will since I'm a nice guy (sometimes. Ok, most of the time).
As I said before, if you have a DC, buy the "Strategy" on there for the first couple levels. It'll show you how to full chain the first level.
That said, first off, you pretty much never want to use the black-hole bomb. It leaves you dead in the water for a long time waiting for your reflect to re-charge. Honestly, I consider using it to be a suicide move starting in stage 3.
The real trick to survival (and also to an extent for scoring) is to learn how to use the reflect in a fraction of a second. Right as you're about to get slaughtered with the highest density bullet pattern you can find, activate the reflect, and let go as soon as you see it activate (while also pulling the joystick away from the enemies you want to take out). If you do it right, you can use the reflect every 3-5 seconds. You also get several frames of invincibility after letting go of the reflect, use that time to move to a clearer area of the screen while it re-charges.
Also, piercing cannon. For real. Use it as much as you can, especially on bosses.

Need FreeMCboot? I'll install it on your PS2 Memory Card for free if you cover postage both ways.
Consoles: I have too much stuff
Arcade: No seriously, I have too much stuff. Someone grab a shovel and dig me out of my basement.

^yes.
Also, if you haven't noticed, your chain meter is under your experience points. Learn to peek at it. There are times you'll find you're dropping chains - often the trick is to let a gold block fall longer, while new enemies are spawning, shoot the new enemy, go grab the other block (now at the bottom) then go grab the new block from the new enemy. Chains drop in fractions of a second - learning where you need to extend it is key. There are 3 spots on stage 1 where it is really easy to lose your chain - the key for all 3 of these spots is the timing in which you grab your gold.
Milking the first boss is huge - can add 40-60K experience if done right. It is frustrating, you'll die many times finding the best pattern, and it's frustrating to die at what is essentially an easy boss - but it's worth it for the points you'll gain once you milk him properly.
I won't lie - I do black hole bomb on stage 2 early on, but to me, that is the hardest part of the first 3 stages, after that section, you can chain the rest of stage 2 and stage 3 is really easy to chain if you can find the right sweeping pattern across the screen around those massive blue slow moving patterns.

Re: RACKET STGT - Week 2 - MARS MATRIX scoreboard
sorry for not posting any scores this week yet, last weekend was Call of Duty Ghosts and this week has been brutal at work and I have just been coming home too exhausted to do anything, Haven't even really touched the new supergun I got this weekend >.>. But enough excuses I'll try to get some sort of score before the clock strikes midnight tonight.

Made it a little bit further into stage 3 this time, but it gets a bit too ballistic for me there.
