Alien: Isolation is out in just a few days, so get your copy of the Nostromo Edition for just $37.50 with code OCTOBE-R25OFF-GMGXXX.
Maybe if someone buys something from my BST list while it is this price I'll take the plunge

^that's pretty much my strategy as well.

I have to say, this quote from Kotaku's review... it doesn't excite me.
Alien: Isolation is a draining, stressful game. It is uncommonly difficult and at times genuinely daunting. It took me a whopping 21 hours to finish the story, and let me tell you, that is a long-ass time to feel as stressed out as this game made me.
same w/ this:
Isolation has no quicksave or auto-save feature, meaning that for the most part, you'll have to manually save your progress at certain designated save points. The saving process takes time in-game and you can screw up and save with the alien standing right behind you. As a result, even the act of saving the game—something that is supposed to make you feel relieved—can be an excruciating process.

The game looks pretty decent, the early parts are probably going to be the best parts as that's when your character is at their weakest.

Only problem with this game is that it seems like it is really short, but it is a 60 dollar game if I can recall.

Respectfully, this is why you should read some previous posts before jumping in as Noise already alluded to its length here:

I've been semi-interested in this game but I can't see myself being scared by the same alien for so long before it becomes repetitive and irritating. I'll check it out in a sale.

If that game really took over 20 hours, then that is truly a terrible thing. I don't think a game like Alien Iso could last over 20 hours without getting really old.

I was hoping for best case that it would be a few hours long and to buy it when it is cheap =o.

Wait, over 20 hours, full of stress, where even saving can get me killed?

This makes me want it more...

So according to the GameTrailers review the alien basically disappears halfway through the game and you try to avoid androids the rest of the way. That's really disappointing.

Also, maybe it was just the video I was watching but the textures looked insanely bland and devoid of detail.
