Those are some great movies, but I was only looking at ones that came out in the last five years...which - unbelievably - cuts out any movies from 2007 or earlier.

Also...regardless of our tastes in horror...I think we can all agree that The Descent was an awesome movie.

I wanted to see Alien for a while but in the research i found out that there's two versions. A theatrical release and a directors cut. Is there a big diference in the two?

Most people prefer the theatrical

Ah, see, you had earlier mentioned the second half of the last decade, so I only included moves from 2005-2010! In the last three years, we got The Cabin in the Woods, the Fright Night remake, You're Next, Marianne...there's been a lot. The thing that I've noticed though is that much of it has been foreign.

Jeepers Creepers is meh. And it was directed by a piece of shit.

I saw the sequel too... I don't remember anything about it except thinking it was one of the dumbest movies I've ever seen. I can't even remember why I thought that though...

Yeah. I want to see Clownhouse, but at the same time I'm disturbed about what all went on while it was being filmed.

I read about it AFTER I saw it. But it's honestly a terrible movie, so you're not missing anything.

I'll throw in another recommendation for The Descent. That movie was crazy scary.

I don't know if I felt it was scary in a horror movie way.

Meaning when those creatures got involved.

But OMG did it get to me as far as claustrophobia goes. There were a lot of scenes that made me feel as nervous as the burial scene in Kill Bill 2.
