Dive kick is a good safe attack most of the time (and quite essential for certain levels); but I have a lot of luck Wham-Bam throwing foot soldiers, especially because it outright kills any other f-soldier it hits on the SNES verion anyways, Genesis game just hits for a basic attack).
Completed the SNES port on hard mode -- compared to my many times completing it in the 90s, this was much easier, the parts that I thought were going to be difficult turned out not to be so bad after all -
Onto Hyperstone Heist!

It's as if they took the great, awesome game that was Turtles In Time, chopped it up into tiny pieces, and haphazardly put it back together. I feel bad for anyone who had a Genesis back in the day and could only play this. The fighting is there, but the graphics are so dark and bland, the voice samples are horrendous, there are not as many cool moves, and the stages drag on for way too long. Wow. They just phoned this one in. I'll play it to the end in the spirit of TR, but I really want to go back to the SNES.

I agree on most of that, but I actually sorta liked the HH graphics over the TiT ones.

Starting out in the sewers was pretty nice, and the re-worked "Surfing" stage reminded me of TMNT 3 on the NES, but I'm not finding much else to really *like* here.

Well I know it may sound crazy, but I actually like the coloring on some genesis games compared to snes counterparts. Just a personal preference I suppose.
Played through HH. Not impressed. That game is the immature little brother of TiT. The only improvement I found was that you can actually just press a button to run rather than double-tap or hold the direction button.
I'm glad I was a Nintendo kid. Those Genesis boys got the shaft again.

That's the only good thing I found about the game too.
