Game is pretty brutal early on. I got my ass handed to me several times in the training section.

I got through unscathed. But used quite a lot of healing potions/magic. This is a fantastic RPG.

Yeah I figured out what to do! I just got fusion, I can see myself sinking as much time into this as Persona 4 ... dear Lord.

I think SMT4 stands for "Save Many Times 4"

I think I'm saving after every 3-4 minutes in the first quest after training...

how many of you guys have already (or are planning) to drop it down to Easy? Multiple reviews I've read now seem to hint that Easy is a more enjoyable experience.

I would even say that more time can be spent with demon leveling and fusion in this game. Some demons evolve. And demons can teach you skills. Won't be surprised if P5 has these sorts of things too.

That was the training part. ;) I've found if you try to Scout a demon you already have (at least for the Faerie one) it often ends with you getting an item and out of the fight.

I'm not going to, I'm enjoying the challenge so far.

Does this game support the circle pad pro?

I don't think it does. But I assume you also aren't a huge fan of the camera controls. Was better in P4G.. Damn 3DS. If only SMTIV were a Vita game.

Zero chance. The gameplay is too fun for me to do that. I'd rather strategize and grind if needed. I am determined to unlock all the apps I can at a certain point before moving forward in the game.

Baby mode takes away from the experience for me. Just played all the way through Muramasa on hard mode too. Only to find out that there is an even harder difficulty that is unlocked after you beat it. Haha.

You did on Fatal Fury. :P

But I was seriously just curious as like I said, I've heard folks saying that it turned the game into just a more fun game to them. I think it was writers at Joystiq and Kotaku if I recall. Maybe it was Nintendolife? I've read several reviews of it recently.

That said, I always attempt Normal - but there have been games in the past where I felt I'd enjoy a lower difficulty. Like if it were a genre I wasn't all that familiar with the mechanics or something. And on the flip, I generally play fighting games at the hardest difficulty.
