Re: Sega Pluto prototype console revealed!
Oooh, I see what's going on. Apparently the seller thinks he's selling the actual (former) planet Pluto and not a console.

That seems like the only logical explanation.

For some reason, that comment makes me think of this comic:
I put this in a spoiler tag because of harsh language.

The seller claims via twitter that he's tried contacting the highest bidder for the ebay auction for $15,500 but hasn't gotten a response. Also says he's tired of being called a douche for trying to milk this for all or more than it's worth.

well, what did he expect after walking away from a 7K offer from game gavel? I understand wanting to fetch a pretty penny from an ultra-rare piece of history, but, a bird in hand is worth more than two in the field. He should have taken the 7K and called it a day. Can't say that I feel bad for him after he took a gamble. And lost.
I wonder want would happen if he were to relist the item, specifically in regards to bids they would receive? I think many would bid incrementally at $0.01 our of spite.

Hi again guys. Glad to see the Sega Pluto has sparked some interest in some of you, although most of you seem focused on the seller more than the console itself.
Luckily for you then that we recently ran an interview with the owner Roger Vega. He's a genuinely nice fellow. It's a shame to see so many harsh reactions to his auction on here.

Maybe if he didn't price gouge and use dummy ebay account to drive up auction prices we wouldn't be so critical. So far, this dude has been acting like an ass.

Lovely how the world can turn rumor into fact.

Did you know that the Reagan Administration was secretly behind flooding the market with copies of Pac-Man and ET for the Atari 2600, so that the resulting market crash would allow NORAD to hire the now out-of-work programmers to work on the next generation missile defense system?
