I haven't actually played 2K2 yet. I picked it up after I started to actually collect for the Dreamcast and it's still sealed, so I haven't even popped it in to see how it is. I just assume that it's more polished than the original.

Didn't back read. I'm guessing the trick is to score first and hide behind your own net for the rest of the game.
I guess you could do that too.
The goalies are basically set to stop just about everything, though. You can set up passing plays from the left point to the right slot, and nine time out of ten the shot'll still be blocked, just like if you one-timed it from anywhere else. It's obviously not that accurate a sim, so (as far as I know) you can't really aim for the 5-hole or the shelf over the goalie's glove side to get some better options. The defenders are total junk, though, so for real success, all you really have to do is crowd the net and shovel in some trash.
