If Shenmue 3 actually comes out, I'll be happy and definitely buy it. I'll even think of you. I DO share your opinion that I want Shenmue 3! ;)

< The one singular Sega fan that really doesn't like Shenmue

I respect the series quite a bit, and the attention to detail is astounding for the time period. I just get very, very bored playing it. I'd like to see Shenmue 3 come out simply to see it come out, even if I have no interest in playing it if it does.

I'm in the same boat. Everything felt like a chore in that game. It wasn't fun for me. But I can appreciate the detail, the research, and the scope of the game. Just wasn't for me.

You need the right mindset. I can't play it, or ANY RPG/strategy/sim game unless I am in the mood. That's why I usually play shoot 'em ups, fighting games, beat 'em ups, platformers, arcade racing, etc.

I'm the same way for the most part.

On that note though, I feel Shenmue 2 is a better game than the original. The pace is much more brisk and the need to kill time until something happens far less often.

For the topic, I've mentioned before that I'd love to see a Shenmue 3, but I'm also one of those who just wants the story to come to a conclusion, whatever shape it may take. Give me a comic book or something, I'd be happy with that.

That would be interesting if they turned Shenmue into a serialized manga. I can see it turning a lot of people off, and as a game designer, I can imagine Yu Suzuki not really going for it either, though.

cloosing statement

Yu has said he thinks that sega will let him make the game./ He said this very recently. I believe him plain and simple. Yu has worked for sega since before the megadrive era and has infact made an huge impact in both gaming and sega. From after burner to outrun, hang on, virtua fighter you name it.

If he says they will most likely let him and the fact he knows sega better then any of us considering he worked for them for over 20 year this gives me faith. I know everyone here thinks there a pro and at time's I feel like I know eveything but I don't and you don't but yu would know alot more then us on this subject.

Plus they are planning a release of the already rumored finished shenmue 1,2 hd so Im very hopeful

Wait, I thought Yu left Sega? I'm so confused. Too many rumors and speculations just being tossed in everywhere... Can anyone find proof of Yu saying that Sega will let him make Shenmue 3?
