Canceled mine, I just cannot justify the 15 bucks a month to play this.

My CE came yesterday (though I have yet to see them even try to charge me for it). Have to kind of luck out just to get on servers to play right now though, much less create a character (which is all but shut down, as are digital sales). Progress so far.


Box is not that big, relative to the Blizzard CEs, Bioshock 2, etc

Is it easy to transfer servers? If I get the game I want to be able to play w/ my friends.

They've announced a paid server transfer service starting next month (it's fairly typical to charge a fee for it, not some SE exclusive practice).

That said, there has been player demand for a one-time free transfer or something, in order for groups to be able to assemble where they want. When they added servers in FFXI way back when, there was a limited period where you could move to the new ones for free.

Kinda just waiting to see, since most of the NA/EU servers have been closed for new characters since beta. There are definitely things they could have handled better in that regard.

For those who played the beta, how long were you able to play? In other words, was it possible to hit level cap before release?

I am on the Phoenix(EU) realm. Character's name is Ayashi Mikage.

Not really. Characters prior to phase 4 were wiped, and phase 4 was capped at level 20. Nevermind that tens of thousands got locked out between error 90k and 3102. Prior betas had NPCs that would level you up if you got one class high enough on your own (and maybe some story progression, I dunno, I couldn't use them). But, not all classes/jobs were implemented at that point, and of course, all those characters were wiped.

Early access would be another matter, but it would have taken a lot of playtime and the actual ability to log on/stay online. Still, I had folks in my FC hitting 50 during the week of release.

'course, people who already had classes at level 50 from 1.x retained that, so Legacy servers have plenty of folks at the level cap - and realistically, it doesn't take all that long to get there either way.

My wife and I are on Leviathan as well. Though I havent played in a bit. Was enjoying it though.
