Actually I have used TPS to refer to third person shooters before when referencing both them and FPS in the same discussion.

Yes, it's very aggravating to be told that just because this game is $10 less it's a "budget" title and thus is likely worse. Because ... only expensive things can be good, apparently.

Yeah, I really hate hearing "good for a budget title" or "good for a download game" when some of those games have been better to me than the big-budget, AAA titles.

The point being made is how you would say them. Snes has always been the go to when writing. No one is going to say snes and if they did I would probably correct them or at least give them a strange look and say "What did you just say?" Followed by "Get the hell out of my house." Saying anything other then n.e.s. or super nintendo is wrong.
