Yup. Here's my LE. Don't mind the iM@S key chains.

is the original Mushihimesama something we in the US can download on XBLA somehow instead of buying the physical copy? If so, it's probably cheaper than the PS2 port, right?

I don't think so. There is the chance it will get a digital release or US eventually.

Just wait and see what the next year or so brings.

I'm sorta bored with the first 2 stages already - I don't seem to be able to improve my score much.

Seem to end stage 1 with 11 million.
Stage 2 with 26-29 million (total).

Wash, rinse, repeat.

Stage 3 is very enjoyable and i've only hit stage 4 twice thus far.

I decided to try maniac mode instead and i'm finding that much much more enjoybable than original mode..

Gave Ultra a try as well. That is...insane.

Here are my scores so far:
43,484,205 - mjmjr25 - Stage 3/Boss - 360/Original
13,273,462 - mjmjr25 - Stage 3 - 360/Maniac
890,138 - mjmjr25 - Stage 1 - 360/Ultra

Hmm, a few attempts - seem to be dying at Stage 2 boss with about 15-20 million. I feel like I am too worried about my chain, yet my chain really isn't good enough either. I can enter Stage 2 boss with 3000-4000 (about 2000 at mid-boss) and about 5000 for stage 2 Boss. Is this low?

What's the last selection screen before the game starts (with two options - red and green)?

Your shot style:

Top is "Normal"

Bottom is "Abnormal"

Come out in diff. directions and seem to have different power.

I don't have it all figured out yet - there are 4 combinations, all with varying power, speed, etc. I know the one "Neco?" you can hold turbo and not slowdown, whereas, Palm / Abnormal is the most powerful (for boss kills) but slows down a lot when holding power shot down.

Also, if you go to "Ultra" mode, it will take you to a second screen. Choose the option on the right to proceed.

I'm guessing it is asking you something like, "Are you sure you want to try ULTRA?!"
Choose option one and it takes you back (must mean "no, i'm scared"), choose the second option and you go to the game in ultra mode. Balls hard. I can't even make first boss yet...but it will improve your skills.

EDIT:
Stage 3 becoming much more manageable, just a matter of mapping where the "screen clearing enemies" will appear. Once you map those, that stage becomes a farm. Boss is still giving me some troubles, but feeling much better about this now that i've mostly learned this stage.

I'm not bored at all. I mean, there are way less bullets than DDPR. Way less scoring strategy (it seems) than DDPR. But that just makes for a bit of a change of pace. That is to say, in DDPR I felt like I was playing purely for score. Here, I feel like I can play for survival and that brings a score. So it's fun. I definitely think DDPR is the (much) better game, but this is a lot of fun. And then of course, once I get a lot better at it I can give Maniac Mode a try as well.
