Re: Personal Collection Goals
Going for every NTSC Pokémon game/movie released for a game system...CIB.
That includes:
All main series games
All spinoff games
All Pokémon mini games (and a CIB Pokémon mini to boot)
All four GBA Videos
Only one of those four I've completed is the last one (thanks mjmjr

Re: Personal Collection Goals
Getting most of the good, "affordable" (300 bucks or more for a game is a no-go) rare games out there.

Oh yeah, I also want to get all the NES golf games. Shouldn't be too hard.

Re: Personal Collection Goals
I have many crazy goals. One of them is to get all the licensed NES games that were sold in stores and not recalled. Might try to get the unlicensed games that were released by tengen and color dreams/wisdom tree too. Just a loose cart collection.
Another one is to get another broadband adapter, another copy of MK:DD, and more GC controllers for an 8 player Mario Kart.

Re: Personal Collection Goals
Are any of the Tengen games particularly rare, besides Tetris? I have a bunch, usually I just find them for 3-4 bucks mixed in with all the other NES stuff at the retro game store down the street.DinnerX wrote:I have many crazy goals. Color Dreams/Wisdom Tree stuff can get rare/expensive I believe.
Re: Personal Collection Goals
My want list sums that up,I had to sell them the first time around or else Id have nothing to collect for.
basically a bunch of WD stuff mostly cuz the packaging, nice manuals and extras (I think 50% of WD games are actually good)
And those tear jerkers from back in the days.
Ahh I remember 3xtreme with the Mummy unlocked was F*n fun..

If you can see the future while remembering the past, you may just have control of the present.
Re: Personal Collection Goals
I bought a mint copy for popful mail for $125 out of impulse once and found the original receipt in the manual and the person paid 14.99 for it I think it was in 1994?KillerJuan77 wrote:Getting most of the good, "affordable" (300 bucks or more for a game is a no-go) rare games out there.
I forget who I traded that to here but if your listening check that manual for laughs.(and I actually got rid of it for $75 I believe)
The most Id pay is $100 for a game now which would probably be for a copy of TG16/CD Exile2 complete and minty.

Re: Personal Collection Goals
I like this is a little better:Soldier Blue wrote:1. Every SNES game(only have 25 lol)
2. Every Dreamcast game CIB
3. Every non-sport U.S. Saturn game, must be CIB
4. Japanese Sega Saturn games not released in the U.S. Not interested in any sports games or any of the dating sims though.
5. and CIB GBA games exclusive to the system.
6. Every console I can get my grubby hands on. One I don't already have.
Definite:
1. Every US SNES game (no sports)
2. Every japanese exclusive Sega Saturn game. Exclusive to the saturn so most games re-released another platform I'm not interested in collecting them, unless I just want to play them. Batsugun is a good exclusive game.
3. Every Dreamcast shump
4. CIB of exclusive US GBA games.
5. Every Odyssey 2 game CIB.
Maybes:
1. A complete Turbo Graffx CD collection released in the US, but if most of those are available on the virtual console; I'm not interested.
2. a console that released very limited games so I could say that I own a complete collection, like the Neo Geo Pocket or Atari Jaguar CD.

It's been quote a while since I posted in this thread, so my goals have changed a bit. For now, here's my top 10 goals:
1. Get a 3DO
2. Replace my now broken TurboGrafx-16 (my fat as hell cat sat on the controller port)
3. Replace my now broken Sega CD (it got very, very finicky with discs)
4. Get a Colecovision
5. Get a Sega 32X
6. Finish off my NES game wishlist
7. Finish off my PS1 game wishlist
8. Get a Gamecube-to-N64 Controller Adapter
9. Replace the Atari 2600 Paddle Controllers that I broke while trying to repair them.
10. Find a working MicroVision, the one I just bought had a bad keypad.
