It is interesting to see what homebrew people can do with a consoles true power. Have you seen this video before.brunoafh wrote:I see this brought up a lot but I never really saw it as a big thing. Nope you're all wrong. DC was in the LEGENDARY generation.
Yeah. I mean, when good developers know how to use hardware, limited or not, who cares what's technically better? Hello Ico and Shadow of the Colossus.brunoafh wrote:I see this brought up a lot but I never really saw it as a big thing. It doesn't have that much more muscle. Yeah. I mean, when good developers know how to use hardware, limited or not, this is no issue at all. Back on topic though the Gamecube was not the worst, that would be the Xbox when it comes to game library, it was one step up.

Atarifan, you don't have to keep linking the Sturmwind video, once was enough.
I'm impressed by your enthusiasm though.

Thanks, the console really did not deserve to die so soon, might not have if the Sega name was not attached. Did you check out the video then, what did you think of it.CFFJR wrote:Atarifan, you don't have to keep linking the Sturmwind video, once was enough.![]()

I intend to order it when it comes out, as well as Gunlord down the line.

Exactly, for example, the Xbox had Phantom Dust, Mech Assault and Deus Ex: IW, the GC had Resident Evil 4, Super Mario Sunshine and The Legend Of Zelda Twilight Princess, the PS2 had the Team Ico games, MGS3 and Final Fantasy XII, etc. (And I barely mentioned any games)Xeogred wrote:Yeah. Each console in each generation haves it's ups and downs and it's up to developers to take advantage of them as much as they can.
And by the way, Sturmwind looks amazing, if only it was cheaper...

If there is one thing we have learned about the GameCube today: Saying that it sucks makes wild animals leap from the urethras of fanboys.
In my honest Nick-pinion, I personally prefer the PS2.

Brand-debating amid gamers really hasn't evolved beyond the playground dick-haggling days of SNES vs Megadrive/Genesis, we've just gotten slightly more articulate with it.

There's a pretty big difference between the GCN and PS2 versions of RE4. The GCN had far superior lighting effects and better textures--Capcom really struggled when porting/downgrading to the PS2. They did an admirable job at doing what they previously thought was impossible, but it's night and day. The PS2 port looks drab in comparison.
