Agreed. That's why I never risked taking LSD. That would be all I need - take a bad trip and get stuck in some horrible state of mind for the next 10+ years.StuntDouble wrote:I've gone as far as playing some Battlefield: Bad Company 2 while drunk. Sadly, I don't think I was any worse, and it's possible I was a little bit better.
The real world's scary enough, I don't need some hallucinogens skewing things even further on me.
As for drunk gaming, I've done that while playing fps's and it definitely slows my reaction time.
With that being said, "drinking & driving" in a racing game isn't such a great idea either.

I have a hard enough time driving in a racing game. I can't imagine how bad I would become if I threw drinking into the mix. With that being said, "drinking & driving" in a racing game isn't such a great idea either.Seriously though, if I can't even keep my car on the road in Gran Turismo then how the hell could I do it in real life?

I'm pretty certain that I do more drunk gaming than sober gaming these days. I used to go on pretty heavy game binge sessions while stoned and drunk but I don't take drugs anymore. Sometimes after one of these said binges with an RPG, the next time I would go to play the game I'd find that I made a ton of progress and had no idea what the hell I did. This happened with Demon's Souls a lot.
Never tripped while playing a game. Like others are saying, it just doesn't seem like it'd be that entertaining. It's a way better time to be outside on a trip and walk through the woods or something.

I played about half of Dead Space 2 one night with a bunch of friends insanely drunk. It was a hilarious adventure. What stopped me? One of those damn doors that you had to slow down with stasis... I kept trying the button combo to use that skill in the first game, I think it was different in the second one or something. We were stuck on that crap for like 30 minutes. Everyone else was so drunk they didn't even care to take the controller from me or something and eventually, we gave up.
Next day, sober, we figured out it was a few buttons and took seconds to get by.
It's safe to say I was wasted that night, I have no idea how I got as far as I did. Drunkest I've ever been playing a game.

Sure you can get drunk or smoke pot while playing games, but most else just doesn't really work. If you have hallucinations there is nothing enjoyable about playing something like Rez. You really don't need or want anything else for your senses. Shrooms are also mostly sit and think type of ordeal. In most cases, there is no interest, ability or desire to play games while tripping, actual entertainment is pointless then and just ruin the trip if anything.

I've never done drugs, and have no plans to do so. Why would anyone smoke marijuana? Even if it makes you feel good or whatever, it has been shown to reduce intelligence & increase your chance of having cancer, just like anything else you smoke. I don't want to screw up my brain, just doesn't appeal to me.

Everything else in life tends to give you cancer, too. And why drink alcohol? Why eat fattening foods? Why play video games?BoringSupreez wrote:I've never done drugs, and have no plans to do so.
